		<description>How refreshing it is to see a kid who takes words seriously, and who has the native intelligence to think about the words he is required to utter, and to realize that the utterance of those words in the current political climate (in which gay Americans continue to be treated as second-class citizens) is to make a mockery of the ideas represented by the Pledge.

Nobody should ever be forced to take a pledge -- by definition, a pledge is a promise entered into willingly and without reservation by the person who utters those words.  If the nation fails to live up to the promises it has made, then the nation should be called to account on its failure...

How sad it is that it takes a 10 year old boy to point out that the Emperor is wearing no clothes!</description>
