Lacey Schwimmer and Danny Tidwell Samba on So You Think You Can Dance (Vid)

Posted on Monday 30 July 2007

New partners this last week really shook things up, and it was obvious Lacey has a thing for Danny; and can you blame her?

Her new partnership with Danny really heated the stage up and got the crowd and the judges going. This Samba really sizzled on stage, thanks to new choreographer and Season 2 heart throb, Dmitry Chaplin.

Insane Salvia Trip Video | Alex Videotapes His Entire Trip!

Posted on Monday 30 July 2007

Welcome to Part One of Alex’s Entire Salvia Trip. Salvia divinorum is a legal drug that induces a “trippy” experience, complete with hallucinations.

Being someone who tried salvia years ago, I was completely surprised when I saw the large amounts of people who have been videotaping their salvia trips.

Pavarotti And Barry White Video | Team Up To Sing ‘My First, My Last, My Everything’

Posted on Monday 30 July 2007

This is a video of a fantastic duet between Pavarotti and Barry White, as they sing Barry White’s classic hit ‘My First, My Last, My Everything’.

I would never have imagined this pairing working, especially with this song. I mean Barry White has probably the deepest voice in pop music, and to couple him with an opera singer is quite daring.

It works though, and we end up with a mash up between the soul and opera genres which actually sounds good.

Terry Fator Video | Ventriloquist Puppet Duet Singing “What a Wonderful World”

The competition on “America’s Got Talent” has just gotten stiffer. So far, we’ve seen a female beat-boxer, a plus-sized burlesque group and a great martial arts dance act.

Prank Phone Call Clips | The Simpsons, Fonejacker, Steve Harvey, Tom Green, Jack Black

Posted on Monday 30 July 2007

Telephone PranksPhone pranks are childish, we all know it, but it doesn’t matter as they’re also very very funny. I don’t think it matters what age you are, when you watch or listen to one, you can’t help but laugh.

I don’t know if it’s the fact that you can’t see the person being pranked, so it’s almost like a victimless crime, or whether it’s just the fact you can get away with a lot more on the phone than you can face to face.

I personally love a good phone prank, not to do of course, no, just to watch and listen to, so here is a compilation of 5 of the best I’ve ever seen on YouTube.

Mr. Rogers Puts in the Wrong Tape (Vid) | Not a Lovely Day in the Neighborhood?

Posted on Sunday 29 July 2007

This is the strangest thing I’ve seen. Mr. Roger’s accidentally plays the wrong VHS tape, which was to be about harmonicas, but instead was about “ho’s.”

Yes, literally the ones that work the streets. I don’t think it is real for a couple of reasons.

I would think that I may not truly have understood this if it had happened when I was 5, as I watched Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood a lot and I don’t recall anything like this.

Funny Animated George Bush Video | The Prez Goes Job Hunting

Posted on Sunday 29 July 2007

George W. Bush’s days in the White House are numbered. In the animated web series of which this video is the premier episode, we take a look at what Bush’s options are once he leaves office.

In this clip Bush creates his resume and sets out job hunting. You can definitely tell this is fictional, because he gets an interview with a school.

Bush proceeds to thoroughly impress the principal with his vast knowledge of all subjects. Surely he will be a shoe-in for the job, right? If his impressive resume and articulateness don’t get him the position, his stellar educational track record undoubtedly will. Well, maybe not, but if all else fails Bush could always begin a singing career.

Hilarious Song from “Flight Of the Conchords” (Video)

Posted on Sunday 29 July 2007

Male friendships are funny things. Men want to help their mates when they’re down, but since they’re not used to expressing their feelings it tends to be a little … well … awkward. However, it’s rarely as excruciatingly funny as this video from Flight of the Conchords.

In it, Jermaine does his best to cheer Brett up with a song. Jermaine’s ditty works hard to boost Brett’s self esteem, but it’s difficult to tell your friend they’re great without sounding a little gay!

It starts out a little inept, and as it progresses becomes downright uncomfortable. I’m not sure whether it cheered up Brett, but it definitely made me feel better!

Emily Parr BB8 Video - Big Brother UK 2007 | Emily Calls Charley A “Nigger”

Posted on Sunday 29 July 2007

Charley has just been evicted from the UK Big Brother house last Friday, so I thought this would be a good time to take a closer look at this infamous clip in which she was called a nigger by Emily.

I’ve used the word as although I understand it’s offensive nature, anyone who watched the clip or the original episode on television will be fully aware what the word is anyway.

I suppose the big question is: Is it ever right to use that word or is completely taboo?

Robbie Williams Video Promo For Rudebox | Goodbye To The Normals Short Film

Posted on Sunday 29 July 2007

This very funny short film was used to promote ‘Rudebox’ by Robbie Williams, but it’s now taken on it’s own life on sites such as YouTube and MySpace.

This short film is actually 4 minutes in length , but the viral version available on all the video sharing sites is a pared down 2 minute version.

The kid is played by Alfie Fields, and the parents are Steve Furst and Juliet Cowan. Steve has been in ‘Little Britain’ and Juliet is well known for her role in ‘This Life’.
