For some strange reason this video gives me the creeps. I guess I’m just not used to having 1000 tons of steel coming towards me at speed. Then again, some of the men on the dock look like they’re crapping themselves as well, and they’re surely used to it.
Miss Virginia 2010, Caressa Cameron, has been named Miss America. This video shows her being named and crowned as, apparently, the most beautiful woman in the whole of the United States. Yeah, whatever.
For anyone interested in technology, this week has been dominated by the unveiling of the Apple iPad. It was rumored for months, and Steve Jobs finally announced and revealed the tablet PC on Wednesday.
However, a great many tech journalists and industry watchers are disappointed by the iPad – with its lack of multitasking, Flash, and a camera, and it being tied into AT&T.
Hell, even Hitler isn’t happy.
I’ve got to admit, I’ve got no idea of the words that come out of Fall Out Boy lead singer, Patrick Stump’s mouth. I’ve heard “This Ain’t a Scene, It’s an Arms Race” countless times on radio, but I still don’t know what the lyrics are.
Thankfully there are videos like this to set me straight.

Extreme sports aren’t for me. Well I say that but I haven’t actually ever tried any of them. Which is, I guess, why they aren’t for me – I’m too scared of puncturing a lung or being buried in an avalanche to even give them a go.
However, some people thrive on danger, especially those who have taken the art of extreme sports to a whole new level. Meet Shaun White, probably the best-known snowboarder. He even has his own video game.
Consoles like “the household monitor screen” and an “electronic correspondence machine” don’t exist today, but this vintage clip from 1969 is pretty close to predicting the internet.
Also included is an unintentional bit of sexism; which I find very funny.
