I don’t speak Portugese, but some videos transcend language limitations. This video from the reality TV show If She Dances, I Dance SBT is one of those special clips.
It features talent show hopeful John Lennon da Silva dancing like I’ve never seen before. It’s clearly inspired by the Academy Award nominated ballet flick Black Swan, but John gives his classical performance a unique hip hop flavor.
The preamble goes on a bit long if you don’t speak the language, so feel free to skip on to around the 1 minute 45 mark. That’s where the dancing starts and the video really kicks into gear.
