Amazing Oskar Fischinger Google Doodle Video | Honoring Modernist Animator

23 sec read

Google has a new Doodle to share with the world, and this is one of those interactive Google Doodles which make you actually do something for a change.

This particular Google Doodle is in honor of Oskar Fischinger, a German-American animator and painter.

Fischinger fled Nazi Germany in the 1930s after Adolf Hitler rose to power. The Nazis weren’t fans of artists and intellectuals, so Fischinger had no choice but to depart for pastures new.

You’ll have to go to Google and click on the Oskar Fischinger Doodle to experience it in all its glory, but hopefully Google will turn this into an actual app at some point.
