American Idol continues to provide the goods every week. No, not great singers, but terrible ones, and this guy, Adam Lambert is no exception. I know he has many fans but I just cannot see any true talent there.
He showed his true colors on this, Country Week, when he chose to cover Ring Of Fire by Johnny Cash. What results is a version that is as far away from being country as is humanly possible. It also sucks.
I know his legions of fans will string me up for this but man, this is terrible. He caterwauls his way from beginning to end, looking like an idiot and proving once and for all he is a weirdo of the highest order.
As the judges state, the performance is strange and leaves you feeling confused. Adam Lambert is a one-trick pony who surely can’t win the series. I totally agree with Simon Cowell on this one – indulgent rubbish. Spot on.
