Enter Sandman may be my favorite Metallica song of all time, and I doubt I’m alone in thinking that. However, these guys may have just embarrassed Metallica with their bluegrass version of the classic death metal song.
Iron Horse is the name of this bluegrass band in question. They look like unassuming country musicians, with cowboy shirts and facial hair aplenty. And yet that’s the sound of Enter Sandman coming out of their instruments.
I’ve always been a sucker for listening to cover versions of songs done in a completely different genre, and this is no exception. What we need now is for Metallica to cover a bluegrass song and all will be well with the world.
