If she were still alive today (Aug. 15) would have been Julia Child’s 100th birthday. To celebrate Google has revealed a doodle in her honor, and others have also commemorated the occasion.
This video features Julia Child talking a lot on her various shows, and it’s all been remixed into a catchy tune by John D. Boswell, aka melodysheep, for PBS Digital Studios.
These are the same people who released the remix video for Mister Rogers a few months ago. Child’s remix may not be up there with Garden Of Your Mind, but Keep On Cooking is great in its own way.
I must admit, much like Mister Rogers, I have never seen a Julia Child show. She was very much an American institution but didn’t really become known outside of the U.S.
