Since The Hangover series ended everybody has been looking around for the next great R-rated comedy. Is Let’s Be Cops the movie we have all been waiting for? Probably not.
Let’s Be Cops stars Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans Jr. as a couple of deadbeats who dress as cops for a fancy dress party and then never take the costumes off. Hence, everyone thinks they’re real police officers.
Much hilarity ensues, although it’s difficult to see why this has been rated R when most of the jokes are pretty tame.
Let’s Be Cops is a fairly good film, but it’s one you’ll likely forget all about five minutes after leaving the movie theater. Even Andy Garcia playing a villain cannot save it from being a sloppy and unmemorable mess.
