It’s not often I hear or see something that brings even the faintest shimmer to my eyes, and I’m not at all ashamed to say this video did.
If you aren’t familiar with poetry slams, consider it emotional, driven, performance poetry. Many poetry slams are held around the world and have various competitions.
This awesome video takes place at the North American National Youth Poetry Slam Finals. This piece, “This is for You” is performed by three young men who are absolutely superb.
The poem is moving, intelligent, and very powerful. I ask you to watch it all the way through at least once.
