This video shows Dragon docking with the International Space Station. I for one am still stunned by space travel, and this mission in particular.
Dragon is the name of the shuttle launched by SpaceX, a privately owned company. This is the first time a privately funded spacecraft has docked with the ISS, an important milestone in space travel terms.
With the national fleet of spacecraft retired from service, NASA is now outsourcing crucial missions to other companies, the first of which is SpaceX.
SpaceX is owned and run by Elon Musk, a billionaire some are calling the “real-life Tony Stark (AKA Iron Man).” Perhaps that’s a little over the top but designing and launching your own spacecraft is certainly no mean feat.
