Barack Obama Endorses Gay Marriage News Video | American President Speaks Out on Same-Sex Rights

21 sec read

Barack Obama has again made history. The United States’ first African American president has become the first to publicly endorse gay marriage.

The definitive statements came in an interview with ABC, after years spent dodging the issue. We probably already knew the very cool Obama couldn’t be against equal rights, but it’s exciting to see him speaking out about the issue.

Despite his personal opinions, Obama added that he respected the decisions of other state governments regarding the issue. However, hopefully these public statements will lead to the legalization of gay marriage across the United States, rather than in selected localities.
