‘Bioshock Infinite’ Trailer Video | Irrational Games Unveils Skybound Prequel Bioshock 3

Irrational Games has unveiled Bioshock Infinite (Bioshock 3), the second sequel in the Bioshock games series.

This is the video trailer, which is creating a lot of buzz on the Web from nerds and geeks. And some normal people such as myself.

The Bioshock series began with the first game, released in 2007. It was set in a retro underwater city called Rapture, and spawned a sequel which didn’t quite live up to the promise of the original.

Irrational Games didn’t actually work on Bioshock 2, instead farming development out to other companies. For the last three years, Irrational Games has been working on Bioshock 3, newly announced to be called Bioshock Infinite.

The Bioshock Infinite trailer is awesome. It’s all CGI, with no gameplay footage on show, but that will come at a later date. Bioshock Infinite is due to be released on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC in 2012.
