In the Last 16 of the Champions League, Real Madrid beat PSG 3-1. Which is a cracking result which puts the Spanish side on the verge of going through to the quarter finals.
However, there’s one talking point that’s dominating the post-game analysis. And that’s Cristiano Ronaldo’s magic penalty in which the ball appeared to levitate for a split second.
As noticed by the commentators, Ronaldo appears to have made the ball bounce up slightly just prior to him hitting. Which makes him either a magician, a Jedi, or just a very good footballer.
The obvious explanation is that he stamps down so hard with his left foot that the ball just bobbles enough for him to get his right foot underneath it. Which is amazing.
