You may or may not have changed your Facebook profile picture to that of a cartoon character, but lots of people have, with the idea being it will somehow end violence towards children. I don’t see how it will, personally.
Another day, another Facebook meme. This one is a call to arms to change your profile picture to that of a cartoon character from your childhood. The idea is to have Facebook as a human face-free zone over the weekend.
Lots of people have done this, but I cannot quite see what they’re hoping to achieve. We all know there are some sick people who beat children out there. Lending support to organizations fighting to end this abuse is good, changing your profile pic isn’t, really.
No offense to anyone who has already done this but I won’t be joining you. Because it’s an utterly pointless activity which won’t achieve a Goddamn thing.
