Ustream.tv has announced that its live coverage of Obama’s Inauguration will be available to watch live via an iPhone.

The 3G cell phone makes it possible to watch the Inauguration almost anywhere. iPhone users will also be able to chat with other viewers of the live event through the uStream iPhone application

Unfortunately this is only open to a select number of beta testers. If you have an iPhone and wish to view the Inauguration live streams you will need to email iphone@ustream.tv to get Ustream’s viewing application on your iPhone.

Subscribers of Verizon V Cast, AT&T Mobile TV or MobiTV can all get live streams.

As always there is always a consistent flow of DISH Network ‘special’ offers popping up throughout the year.

The cheapest DISH network deal I’ve seen so far is for $19.99 a month but that is just a starter package and the cost can quickly spiral to over $100 as you add more channels.

The pilots that will be available are for the new shows Bionic Woman, Chuck, Journeyman and Life With Amazon Unbox TV shows can be watched on a PC or through TiVo (if you have one).

After you watch the pilot, however, if you want to watch the new episodes, they’ll be available the day after they air on NBC and you’ll have to pay for them. When the TV show’s season is over, you can purchase the entire season to be able to watch it anytime you wish.

Amazon Unbox will feature the following NBC shows: The Office, Heroes and 30 Rock. In addition, content will be for sale from USA Network, SCI FI Channel, Telemundo, Bravo, NBC News, NBC Sports and mun2.

The offer from NBC on Amazon Unbox is likely a retaliation against iTunes after NBC and Apple had a bit of a fight.

In their joint announcement, the two multi-million dollar companies stated that movies available in Amazon’s Unbox department can now be accessed by those who use Series 2 and Series 3 TiVo set top boxes!

The AppleTV basically allows you to connect your PC or Mac wirelessly to your TV so you can watch and listen to music and video from your PC or Mac. I was also disappointed with the AppleTV and personally think there are better products out there.

According to CNET the Helios X5000 HD Network Media Player, HP MV2020 Media Vault and Netgear EVA700 Digital Entertainer are all better devices.

Apple recently announced it will be adding some upgrades to the Apple TV, the new device that connects your PC and iTunes music and video collection to your TV.

Basically if you use iTunes and have a big iTunes video and music collection the Apple TV can bring all of that onto your TV set via a home network.

I often like to poke my nose around the TiVo community forum to see what TiVo users are saying and thinking. With the launch of Amazon Unbox I decided to ask them whether they were pleased or disappointed with the new TiVo Amazon Unbox service.

From 141 people that answered the poll 55% were pleased while 45% were disappointed. While more people were pleased it looks like a lot of Amazon Unbox customers are not happy.

TiVo has launched the new Amazon Unbox service today! Here’s what it says on the TiVo website:

“Amazon Unbox on TiVo service is a new TiVo feature that lets you rent or buy movies online from Amazon Unbox, download them to your TiVo box over your home network, and enjoy them right on your television set whenever you want.  With a TiVo box and a broadband connection, you never have to drive to the video store or wait for a DVD to arrive in the mail again.”

When it comes to the line-up of movies and TV shows available to download off the Xbox Live Marketplace there is a serious lack of a decent selection. But don’t despair just yet because you can also get movies from Vongo too.

Vongo offers unlimited movie downloads to your PC for $9.99 a month (USA only) and you can then easily stream these movies from your PC to your Xbox 360. Vongo make it sound pretty easy:

"The Xbox 360 will automatically check to see which Windows XP or Vista-based devices are registered on the network and ask the user whether they want to access content, such as their Vongo movies, from that PC. This is a simple and easy approach that solves past problems that required configuration and technical knowledge by the user."

Whether you can get the service depends on how good your internet connection is since a beefy connection will be needed so you can watch and record two high definition web TV channels and 2 standard definition channels simultaneously.

The Web TV edition of the Xbox should feature a 120GB hard drive, HDMI ports, will come with DVR functionality and you will be able to take advantage of the Xbox 360 community-based features, such as voice chat, sending and receiving text and voice messages, and accessing Xbox Live Marketplace, while watching TV. You can also play games while recording web TV.

• You copy media files from your PC onto your BluOnyx
• You take your BluOnyx out and about with you

2. copy data wirelessly from your cell phone or portable media players for backup to BluOnyx
