Is this a video showing a woolly mammoth crossing a river in Siberia? Probably not, but it’s an intriguing possibility.

There are three possibilities here. 1. It’s actually a woolly mammoth. 2. It’s a hoax, either by way of intentionally blurring the video to hide the truth, or by the use of Photoshop. 3. It’s a misreading of the situation.

I think we can safely count out the first option. The woolly mammoth has been extinct for 4,000 years, it isn’t coming back. Which leaves a combination of numbers 2 and 3.

My guess is this is a bear crossing the river. Possibly carrying a fish in its mouth. Maybe the cameraman knows this, maybe he doesn’t. But why not keep everything ambiguous to sell a story and start a mystery?

According to wikipedia, the largest known whale shark was 41.5 ft in length- the one that was found in Pakistan today was 40 ft.

The unconscious whale was sighted 10 days ago along the coast, and it wasn’t until today that it was pulled out with 5 cranes.

The sharks are illegal to hunt in India and it was stated in the local Karachi newspaper that the whale was already dead when it was pulled out of the water.

Pardon my pun, but something seems fishy to me about this story.

This video shows a cat eyeing up a light fitting. Will he jump or won’t he jump? That is the question.

Assuming you have watched the video from beginning to end by now, you’ll know the answer. He jumps. A long way. Like some feline stuntman willing to risk life and limb for a YouTube hit.

What I find fascinating about this video is the decision-making process the cat goes through in his mind before leaping. He starts off being nosy, wants to jump but doesn’t and then ends up thinking, “What have I got to lose?”

I’m guessing the cat has either jumped up on the light fitting before, or at the very least eyed it up. Why else would its owners have a video camera set up to capture the moment for ever?

This video should disprove the theory that all rodents are horrible, dirty creatures who deserve to be spaded or get fed to the cat. Some of them can be very cute on occasion.

That occasion is, unfortunately, when they’re asleep. Because they can’t then be scrabbling about in your walls or flicking their nasty tails left and right as they scamper around your feet.

This little fella, a dormouse (name derived from ‘dormeus’, an old word meaning sleepy one) is fast asleep as he hibernates for the winter. So fast asleep, in fact, that he merrily snores away while being manhandled.

That’s a lot of noise emitting from a creature so small. I know for a fact I snore, but I’m not sure whether I snore that loudly. And I’m guessing I don’t look half as cute when I’m doing it as this dormouse.

Given this day and age of the internet, you’re probably familiar with what Groundhog Day is even if you’re not a Canmerican. However, if you’re not, this is the video for you.

Yeah… I think I’m going to go with a solid ‘I’m a jerk’ label and say that Groundhog Day is lame. Go ahead and have fun – any excuse to drink, right? – but it’s still lame.

And I used to be American.

I do hope all the people who acknowledge the day have a lot of fun and all that – fun in a top hat! – but it’s another one of those weird things I hope will pass quickly.

This video shows Punxsutawney Phil, nothing more than an overstuffed rodent, predicting six more weeks of winter during the 2012 version of the annual Groundhog Day. Forever immortalized in the film of the same name.

It’s a shame it’s such a colossal waste of time really.

I guess it’s no worse than some of the old traditions I see in the U.K. Like, I don’t know, having a pointless monarchy, changing the guard at Buckingham Palace, and opening parliament every year. But still.

The sad thing about the whole Groundhog Day phenomenon is people actually seem to believe Punxsutawney Phil has anything to do with it. He doesn’t, he’s merely there for show.

What actually happens is a group of old men sit around looking at the weather forecast. How dull. And even then they often get it wrong.

We’ve seen some dogs performing some pretty amazing tricks on WebTVHub, but few have the skills of Ozzy the Dog.

This video is admittedly a bit of a slow burner. Much of the video features Ozzy almost balancing on the rope before giving up. But when he nails it, boy does he nail it.

Word is that Ozzy enjoys balancing so much that he does it on metal chains, signs, and any other skinny surface that he can find.

Something tells me his quiet days playing in the backyard are numbered. Surely it’s only a matter of time before a pup so talented joins the circus!

Move over Keyboard Cat. There’s a new musical feline in town.

Unlike the original, this cat maestro seems to enjoy playing the keys. There’s no heavy-handed human hovering over him forcing him to play, unless you count the man with the camera. His keyboard is also a kid’s toy with meowing notes, so it’s a whole lot cooler. And if you were looking for another reason to watch this new kitty, he wears a necktie.

Seriously, that Keyboard Cat video has been kicking around the interwebs for the last decade. Surely it’s time we embraced some new musical feline blood!

This video shows a cat drinking beer straight from the can. He’s (I’m assuming it’s a he the way he’s downing it) so into it that he’s got hold of the can and won’t let go.

And don’t you dare try and wrest the can from his grasp.

This is certainly a strange phenomenon. As a joke I’m always offering my cat a swig of whatever alcoholic drink I’m consuming that day. And without exception he takes one sniff and walks off in disgust.

Almost as entertaining as the cat drinking beer is the discussion being had on YouTube about the video. Some people are concerned about what the beer is doing to the kitty, while others have cleverly pointed out that Miller Lite is for pussies. Clearly.

I’m not sure what pet owners are putting in their kibble these days, but dogs seem to have an extra spring in their step. Not even a week after observing a happy dog going for a walk, we now see one who’s just as thrilled about spending time in a meadow.

Watching this plucky pup bounding around in the tall grasses put a big smile on my face. Every time his head appeared I found myself chuckling.

This video reminds us all not to sweat the small stuff. We might never find the kind of joy this dog does in the meadow, but isn’t it time we all tried to have a bit more fun?

This video is a teaser for the Super Bowl advert from Volkswagen. That’s right, even adverts are getting viral teasers weeks ahead of time now. Thankfully it’s brilliant, so no one will mind.

You may remember last year’s Super Bowl adverts, or at least some of them. One of the most memorable was from car company Volkswagen, who showed us a little kid playing Darth Vader from Star Wars.

The 2012 Super Bowl is on Feb. 4, and Volkswagen is preparing us for a new ad with this teaser. It’s called The Bark Side and features a variety of dogs barking out the tune to Star Wars. How awesome is that?

It makes me wonder what VW has planned for the actual ad to be aired during the Super Bowl. The company is going to have to go some to beat this one. I’m guessing we’ll be seeing more of the dogs.

Forget setting a cat amongst the pigeons. More interesting things happen when you set a baby tapir amongst the llamas.

I’m not quite sure the phrase will catch on, but it’s adorable watching the situation unfold. The llamas step up one by one to sniff and inspect the new arrival. They’re clearly not sure what to make of him, but who can blame them?

The spots and stripes of the baby tapir ensure they don’t look a lot like their nappy-wearing parents. There’s that same tiny trunk-like nose, but I don’t expect llamas to appreciate the finer points of tapirs!

Dogs love going for walkies a little too much. This one, who literally jumps for joy at the thought of it, especially.

I love the way the dog s sitting patiently by the door just waiting for the word. I’m guessing he always gets taken for a walk around the same time, and know he’s due to go soon.

Then the word “walk” escapes from the owner’s lips and the dog goes into ecstatic, I can’t wait to get outside, mode. He runs to the door and then jumps on the spot several times in quick succession to show just how happy he is.

And what do dogs do when they get outside? Take a dump. That’s about all. I can’t say I’ve ever got this excited about going to the toilet, especially when I have to go outside in view of the general public.

Humans pay big bucks to ski and snowboard in some of the world’s most exclusive snow resorts. But it seems that all crows need is a snowy roof!

This resourceful little crow appears to be having the time of his life as he snowboards, or should that be crowboards, down a roof covered with the white stuff. He clutches his little board in his beak and completes run after run like a seasoned pro.

I just wonder where his feathered friends are. You’d think any crow capable of developing a sport should be the most popular bird in the flock!

We’re not even halfway through January, but we’ve already got a serious contender for the cutest video of 2012 title. Just see if you don’t melt while watching this group of otters in hot pursuit of a butterfly.

The marine mammals frolic about their enclosure as they attempt to catch the wily insect. Of course he’s got the power of flight on his side, but they’ve got the numbers. It seems unlikely that they’ll ever catch the fluttering critter, but perhaps that’s for the best.

After all, the vid would take a rather dark turn if the otters actually murdered the butterfly. Let’s leave things as they are, OK?

These days dogs are vacationing at posh pet resorts, serving as ring bearers at weddings, and now they’re even having their faith celebrated. This video shows us the new trend of the bark mitzvah.

In this canine equivalent of the bar and bat mitzvah we celebrate a puppy’s journey into doghood. The pooches don’t need to recite any Hebrew, but they do get to wear adorable dog-sized yarmulkes and indulge in some cake. And that’s what’s important, right?

Not according to one rabbi who declares the whole ceremony “degrading,” but we say he needs to lighten up. How could anything so cute be wrong?

There are few things we love at WebTVHub more than an interspecies love story, and when the lovebirds are knee high to a grasshopper it’s so much the sweeter.

Get your minds out of the gutter people; there’s nothing depraved going on here. It’s just the innocent kisses of two cute kids in love. This kitten and fawn can’t seem to get enough of one another, which seems only fitting because I can’t get enough of them. Why only a minute of footage, camera man?

Theirs may not be the romance of the century, but I predict this sweet cat and deer will become lifelong friends.

If you can stomach this level of saccharine you’ll love the antics of this tiny miniature pig. Being of such small stature makes it a bit hard to get around. His legs have to move at a frightening pace to keep up with his owner, and stairs are out of the question.

However being so itty bitty makes this little pig very easy to love. I’ll bet pork is never on the menu at his house!

With the festive season behind us, I’m feeling somewhat like this quartet of cats.

This isn’t the most action-packed cat video we’ve ever seen, but there’s a gentle charm about these kitties. It’s a slow burner, but I still found myself giggling as their party hats fell and confused them.

Haven’t we all seen drunk humans behaving just the same way after the biggest night of the year? I must admit that the little ginger one bears more than a passing resemblance to my slightly dusty self on January 1.

Christmas is a wonderful, magical time of the year. Then the holiday ends and the world doesn’t seem quite so wonderful or magical. So in order to inject a little more enchantment into your life, let me introduce you to the pudu.

You probably haven’t heard of this cute creature, but he’s actually the smallest species of deer. And as the one featured here is just one day old, he’s probably the smallest deer in the whole entire world!

You just see if you don’t melt gazing into his big wide eyes and watching his totter about on his spindly little legs. All together now: “Awwwwwww”!
