This is the motorcycle safety sphere, a new invention being sold as “a solution to reduce the gravity of wounds caused by motorcycle accidents.” If it works then this could be a life saver. Literally.

This is a great product in theory, but in practice I’m not so sure. I’m guessing it will take a long time to come to market (if it ever does) purely because of the number of safety checks it will be subjected to.

Rejean Neron is the inventor now looking for funding to bring the motorcycle safety sphere to market. I wish him luck, but some rather obvious question remain over this system. Let’s hope they’re answered quickly.

Oh, and let’s start with, Why does it have to be orange?

This is Ken Block’s Gymkhana Four video, the latest to show off his incredible driving skills. And I have to say it’s probably the best driving video I have ever seen. In fact, I need to watch it all the way through again, it’s that good.

Ken Block is a professional rally driver who is now as well known for his demonstrations of controlled sliding and donuts as his actual racing career.

I first became aware of Block when he appeared on Top Gear, scaring the life out of James May as he drove him around pulling off spectacular feats of driving. Then again May gets scared quite easily.

Gymkhana Four, subtitled The Hollywood Megamercial, sees Block racing around the back-lot of Universal Studios, with spectacular special effects happening around him as he drives. Truly incredible stuff.

I have never learned how to drive, which at 34-years-old is a little embarrassing. But there is so much to remember I’m not sure I could ever commit it all to memory.

Then again, some people seem to get away with making very basic mistakes…

It looks as though this car is being driven with its handbrake on. Either that or the wheel has locked for some reason. Whichever it is it’s frankly amazing the car is moving forward at all.

Surely the driver can feel the back of the car being dragged along? Surely they can feel the difference between driving it now with the back wheels locked and driving it previously with everything working correctly?

Therefore this isn’t technically a handbrake FAIL, instead being more of a driver FAIL. And a huge one at that.

Squirrels are cute little furballs with big bushy tails. Well, until they have a close encounter with a Lamborghini LP670-4 SV and then they’re cute little furballs with small stumpy tails and an irregular heartbeat.

This incident, which can only be described as a close call, happened during The Ultimate Lamborghini Experience 4, with one of the beastly supercars driving over the squirrel at over 100 miles-per-hour.

A close call means the squirrel survived, but not wholly intact. You can actually see the tail get lobbed off and fly towards the camera on track if you look very, very closely. And the creature emerges looking a little different.

Will this little guy do well without a tail? After all, isn’t that the body part they use for balance and support? Still, it’ll teach him not to cross the road when a Lamborghini is approaching.

Google has already revolutionized the Web, making it possible (and actually a joy) to find what you’re looking for. It could be argued that without Google the Web wouldn’t be the fantastical place it is today.

But like all good companies, Google isn’t resting on its laurels, and is instead trying to revolutionize or otherwise improve other parts of our lives.

This video shows what it’s like to travel inside one of Google’s new self-driving cars. The company has been working on the technology for a few years now, with the hope that one day it’ll be standard on all vehicles.

At the moment I think I’d be too scared to be a passenger in a driverless car. But if it does one day become the norm then I guess we’ll all be doing it. If there are any crashes though, I suspect Google will be sued out of existence by those involved.

If the driver was indeed being careful and simply parking his car, I don’t see why the parking garage company can’t be sued. Here in my hometown Atlanta, an entire floor caved in and it made national news- one single corner has to be classified as “a freak accident.”

What shocked me even more than the fact that people below could have been killed was the fact that the driver was able to escape without being harmed. The whole end where he sweeps his wife off the ground and hugs her was defiantly heartwarming.

This video shows someone, an idiot obviously, called Tim Wehage, surfing on top of the car he was driving moments before in a new sport known as ‘ghost riding’. This is apparently all the rage on the west coast amongst hip-hop fans.

This is highly dangerous, as evidenced by the fact two teenagers died doing it the week before this footage was shot. Their car flipped and burst into flames while they were standing on the running boards.

If this was on television it would come with a rather prominent ‘Don’t Try This At Home’ warning, but because it’s on YouTube no one really gives a crap whether you try it out for yourself or not. Except for me, so please don’t try this at home. If you do then the catastrophic results are your fault, and your fault alone.

If you have anything over $1 million in your bank account that you’re not sure what to do with, then give it to me. Please. If that doesn’t appeal then you could instead buy a Bugatti Veyron.

The Bugatti Veyron is a supercar that can claim to be the fastest in the world. It can power up to somewhere in the region of 250Mph, and if it passed you at that speed your eyes would have trouble keeping up with it.

This video shows James May, nicknamed Captain Slow, testing out the Bugatti Veyron on Top Gear and doing a fantastic job of it. He managed to get it to travel at over 400Kmh.

If the current model isn’t quick enough for you then you can wait until 2014, when a new, more-powerful and faster model is due to be launched. Just warn your bank manager first or he may have a heart attack.

Toyota, who recalled thousands of cars last year, is doing the same thing this year due to a gas leakage error in 245,000 cars.

Rather than wait until an accident happened and someone were to sue, they decided to do the recall voluntarily.

For those wondering exactly which models were recalled, they are the 2006-2007 GS 300 and GS 350, 2006-2009 IS 250 and 2006-2008 IS 350. If you own a Lexus, it’s pretty much a no-brainier to send the cars back to Lexus for the free repair.

If someone were to try to sue the automaker after they got into an accident because of the fuel pressure sensor, they would have a hard time since the recall has been made.

This video shows Ken Block testing his Ford Escort Mk2 at Kearney Rally Village before entering Rally New York. And if you like watching supreme driving skills being shown off it’s a must watch.

Ken Block is the rally driver who has made a name for himself with precision driving and controlled drifting. He memorably appeared in an episode of Top Gear scaring the crap out of James May.

The Ford Escort Mk2 was produced between 1974 and 1980, and was a magnificent rally car during that time and beyond. In fact, it’s still used to this day.

Put them together and you have a slice of genius. Block controls the car supremely well, coaxing it around all the corners at great speeds. It makes me want one of these cars, and to possess the skills Block has.

The details of the car are pretty intricate, still, when the woman in the video takes it for a test drive it put me on the edge- obviously this car would be smashed up in a second on any real road.

These guys spot a driver reading a book while at the wheel of his car. Then he gets his Kindle out and starts messing with it. A few minutes later and out comes the smartphone which he proceeds to make a call on.

This driver is an irresponsible idiot who is endangering the lives of all those around him by not concentrating on the road ahead. But it’s not as though he’s failed at multitasking, unless he crashes after the video stops rolling, of course.

So, a multitasking WIN, but a FAIL in terms of good driving.

However, while watching a car slam into a bridge at 100mph isn’t pleasant, this crash is so amazing it begs to be watched. Which is a strange quandary for your brain to contend with.

I have no idea whether the driver of this car survived, but I sadly doubt it. If he did then I suspect he’ll have more respect for life and more respect for the speed limit while driving as well.

Not only does this make me not want to watch any more videos for the rest of the day, it makes me want to avoid getting in a car for the rest of the year. Whether I’m driving or not, it’s scary to think about what could happen if it all went wrong.

Contrary to popular belief, electric cars existed before ones that ran off of oil and were (at one point in time) more popular. Of course, the standard has shifted today, but it’s interesting to see such a “relic” run just as great as it did almost 100 years ago.

Those wondering if this car has been modified from it’s original design are right. Obviously, this car has been through some repairs in the last 90 years or so in it’s life. The fact still remains, though, that this car was electric when it was manufactured in the 1910’s.

Up until oil was found in Texas in 1920, many investors back in the early 20th century were betting that the standard would be electric. Considering the decline of gas consumption today, it looks like they’ll be right in the long run- but it seems that we still have a bunch of years to achieve that standard.

Top Gear is my favorite TV show in the world, and I’m not alone. It doesn’t even matter whether you’re big into cars or not, it’s still a brilliant spectacle.

After watching this trio of speed freaks on the television for years, imagine how it must feel to then see them filming Top Gear on the road?

If the reaction of these people is anything to go by, it’s exhilarating. They’re excited at the prospect of seeing Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May, and then they actually pass them and go into meltdown.

I just hope the BBC never pulls the plug on Top Gear. Sure, some of the stunts are a little out there, consumer advice is thin on the ground, and some of the incidents are clearly staged. But so what? Top Gear is still genius.

If you watch the camera, you’ll see the incredibly brave (and perhaps not so smart) drivers plowing through what is already (in some areas) two feet of water.

Don’t think that is much? Take the measuring tape out to your car and then see what you think.
