Layla Grace Marsh, a girl who won the heart of the internet when her parents detailed her struggle against neuroblastoma (a cancerous tumor that develops from nerve tissue, occuring in infants and children), passed away.

Layla’s parents decided to deal with the struggles of their little girl by raising awareness through tracking her life on Twitter as well as a website.

There is the question arising of whether or not sharing such tragic life stories and moments with complete strangers is the new trend – or even norm – on the internet.

However, the question remains a quiet one – respect for the family and their loss taking precedence.

Wow. Take your child to work day has taken on a whole new view with thousands of lives put in the hands of a child.

Now, I imagine his father was right there telling him what to say, but I highly doubt this was actually take your child to work day or that this behaviour had been cleared by the airport.

A Pennsylvania school has been sued over the issue of using remotely activated webcams on school-issued laptops to spy on students while the students are at home.

Wow. It is hard to know where to start with this one. I am in shock that these webcams are able to be activated remotely, not to mention the fact that they actually were.

This is so disgusting. I hate to assume the worst of people, but the young girl who talked about changing while her laptop was open?

I think the student confronted with ‘photographic evidence’ thought to have come from the webcam says it all about how these cameras are really being used.

I may not have always cared for my school bus driver when I was a kid, but I know that she would never ever leave a kid where a kid didn’t belong.

Bringing a child back to the school is policy. Period.

I sincerely hope that they don’t go easy on the bus driver just because the little boy was found safe. What if he hadn’t been? A million things could have happened to him just because one driver either didn’t know or didn’t care about a standard policy.

This sort of negligence just peeves me. It really does. Kids get put into people’s hands with trust, and then stuff like this happens.

Every fail that took place last January is included in this clip. Grab some popcorn and get ready for some back-breaking, car-crashing, building-falling fails.

Mind you, a lot of these involve ice and snow.

This video clocks just under 9 minutes, but I wish it was longer. There’s something for everyone in this clip. Ball-breaking for those who like crude humor, ridiculous crashes for fans of action, and even a cute cat missing a jump.

By the end of the video it becomes clear that there are tons of icy slips caught on camera. I find it funny how many of them involve more than one person and person holding the camera never warns them.

I donated $10 for the relief effort in Haiti earlier this week. Little did I know that my donation was a pathetic drop in the bucket compared to what a little kid raised by riding his bike.

In one day this 7 year-old raised 100,000 British pounds (over $160,000)!

While this story makes for a great headline, this “shocking” act of kindness is actually pretty easy to explain. No doubt, his parents set up the online page and spread the word with a cute story. My guess is that most people would donate to a kid riding a bike for Haiti just because of the underdog factor (or at least check it out for a laugh).

And obviously it worked- is that a UNICEF t-shirt the kid has on?! It’s no wonder the donations kept flooding in! Forget going door to door campaigning, I have a feeling kids riding bikes are going to be the next trend when it comes to raising money for charities.

Lt. Governor Andre Bauer has made a lot of people – especially South Carolina residents – very angry by implying that the impoverished populations are like stray animals: not to be fed.

Okay, so while he didn’t say the words ‘Don’t feed the poor because they will breed if you do’, he certainly made it pretty clear that he was comparing the poor to straight animals.

The reason I put up this particular rant on the subject is because I agree with The Young Turks. Sure, not all parents are heroes, but why punish children for what parents are or aren’t doing.

You can hold parents accountable (maybe they do work two jobs or can’t afford a babysitter – or a car) without taking away the basic provisions for children.

I think this commercial is not so much funny for the actual content; I think this commercial is funny because WalMart thinks it’s good advertising to scare the crap out of children.

Good move. I’m sure that will bring in a heap of customers.

What’s next? Children’s sized ear plugs for when mommy and daddy are yelling at each other? Along with a sale on couches or bunk beds to the kids have a place to hide when it happens?

Far leap, I know. But come on. How is this good advertising?

Come on. Is anyone truly surprised that the Lifetime channel would see something in the news like this and try to make a made for television movie out of it?

As is pointed out in this video, no one has really been able to talk to the actual girls to figure out what exactly happened with this, so I am hesitant to put any sort of judgment.

However, I do agree that it goes beyond coincidence that seventeen girls in the same high school all got pregnant around the same time.

It is a sad event, and I hope that this movie provides some warning to kids considering anything close to the same thing.

Power Wheels go karts aren’t real cars, but they certainly seem like it when you’re 4 years old. Here a little kid (who’s obviously had a lot of driving experience) shows his dad how he parks his badass ride.

I admit it, I’m a little jealous. There’s no way I could do this with my car.

Maybe I’m getting a little ahead of myself, but I’m pretty sure this kid has a future in stunt driving. If he can do this at his age, I’m sure he’ll be drifting by 10!

Dan Savage, for those of you that don’t know, is an openly-gay political journalist, author, and public speaker. The above clip was taken from one of his talks at a university where he usually addresses important issues regarding sex before marriage, and long-term relationships.

Being a gay parent himself, the subject of gay adoption gets him a bit more heated.

Savage usually gets a lot of bad press whenever he makes appearances on TV, so I stick to watching unbiased clips of his lectures. He often gets labeled as “hostile” by conservatives and even members of the LGBT community, especially when it comes to his advice column Savage Love.

Despite all the controversy, you have to admit that Dan has a way of blunt speaking that most politicians are afraid of showing. There are even rumors that he might run for Mayor of Seattle. This guy has guts.

Ordinarily newborn babies are the ones keeping their parents up at night. But in this video, the tables are turned!

This clip stars a peacefully sleeping father and his rather perturbed bub. With every snore from Dad, the tot wakes. In his dazed state he looks around for the culprit, before slipping back into slumber. He has just enough time to get comfortable before Pops lets off another sleep-shattering snore!

The look on the poor babe’s face is priceless. He’s so confused in that hazy post-sleep state. But don’t feel too sorry for him. After all, he’s probably kept his father awake more times. It’s only fair that Dad’s doing the disturbing this time around!

Loving father David Goldman has fought hard to bring his son Sean back from Brazil to live with him in the US.

Goldman’s ex-wife travelled to Brazil and divorced him while she was there, keeping their son with her. She died last year and has had to battle the boy’s stepfather for custody.

I sincerely hope that Sean and David are united and that nothing stands in the way of the pair going back to the US.

And staying there.

While all the moving is undoubtedly hard on young Sean, a father has a right to raise his own son – especially after the sneaky way his mother behaved.

Here we have, quite possibly, the world’s best cover of Jason Mraz’s “I’m Yours.” Not because it’s played or sung well, but because it’s the cutest thing I’ve seen in my life.

Usually when home videos of kids singing go viral it’s because of their amazing skill. This time, it’s refreshing to see a more common occurrence- a kid trying his best. It’s safe to say that this 5 year-old has some potential to get really good in a few year’s time.

I don’t know what it is that makes me like this performance so much. Perhaps it’s the half Japanese, half English vocals, or the way he scratches his nose. Either way it’s bound to put a smile on your face.

Kourtney Kardashian is a proud first time mommy, having given birth to a healthy baby boy named Mason Dash Disick.

Little Mason has come along to a loving home with Kourtney and Scott Disick, her boyfriend of two years.

With so many females running around in the family, Kourtney is definitely glad to add a baby boy to the bunch.

With her sister Khloe in a hot and steamy romance, people are now looking at her and wondering if blue and pink will be on her mind soon.

Kourtney is known for her TV programs “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” and “Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami.”

Humans are natural swimmers, although some obviously take to it better than others. But it’s a good skill to possess, and the younger we learn that we can swim the better.

However, I’m not sure whether that justifies pushing a two-year-old kid into a swimming pool and keeping him in there to see if he’ll swim around like Michael Phelps.

Some people have really not taken kindly to this video, calling for the parents to be drowned or for the child to be taken out of their custody because this is some form of cruelty.

I disagree. Sure, it’s not the best thing to do to a child but they watched him at all times to make sure he didn’t sink to the bottom and drown, and when the kid matures a little he’ll probably find he’s unafraid of the water and is able to swim well.

So, no harm done.

Declan Galbraith is the latest pint-sized prodigy to go viral. He’s now 17, but wowing internet users with this video he recorded when he was just 13 years old.

Declan has more than just a baby face and angelic voice going for him. He penned this socially conscious song himself, showing a musical maturity well beyond his years. The sad part is that all these years later, the song is still just as relevant as it was when it was first written.

The world may still be full of doom and gloom, but Declan’s life appears to be somewhat sunnier. He’s already got three albums after his belt and another one on the way!

Taking a political stance was basically the last thing on an average 10 year-old’s mind. Here we have a young boy who refuses to say the pledge due to the line “justice for all.”

According to him, it isn’t true because gays don’t have equal rights.

The father in this video must be really proud of his kid. Not only is he standing up for what he believes, but he’s doing it at such a young age! As a matter of fact, I can’t recall kids not standing up for the pledge in elementary school- it was just expected.

Perhaps the younger generations are getting more ballsy, or perhaps the father’s ideologies are rubbing off on his kid (which is probably the case). Either way, it’s refreshing to see a kid in public school questioning something other than the ingredients in the cafeteria’s lunch meat.

The body of five year old Shaniya Davis, who went missing last week, has now been found.

Her mother has been arrested and charged with human trafficking and felony child abuse, having offered her daughter up for prostitution.

Sometimes it is really hard to see anything good in the world. When little lives are so readily abused, you can’t help but wish for an apocalypse to wipe the slate clean.

Sure, I might be sounding a little to morbid for most of you, but this is just so wrong on so many levels.

How, if you are a mother, could you ever offer your child up willingly to any sort of danger?

I hope she gets everything coming to her.

Growing up and not being able to eat “normal” food is tough. I would know since I’m allergic to wheat, dairy, eggs, and corn. But knowing kids like this exist make me feel a lot less sorry for myself.

This poor 5 year old boy is allergic to food. As in, every kind of food.

The first thing that popped into my mind when I saw with video was “How is he surviving?” After all, he isn’t as skinny or a frail as you’d think he’d be. The answer lies in his nutrient backpack that he must keep attached to his stomach for 20 hours a day.

You really have to admire the courage this boy has. Even with his condition, he continues to have fun like any other normal 5 year old. Hopefully one day scientists will find a cure.
