Happy couple and new parents Beyonce and Jay-Z have released the first pictures of their new bundle of joy, Blue Ivy Carter. With those big eyes and a full head of hair, she’s already a media darling.

Five photos of the new baby were released on Tumblr – at http://helloblueivycarter.tumblr.com/ – and has a picture of Blue with each happy parent.

According to CBS News, “Beyonce and Jay-Z are the latest celebrities to shun big bucks from the tabloid press for exclusive rights to baby pictures and instead post the photos on a public website for free.

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon debuted their twins in the same way last year.”

Pint sized British rappers Sophia Grace and Rosie proved they’re no one-hit wonders after appearing again on Ellen.

You might remember this adorable twosome from their viral cover of Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass.” This time around they’re breaking out a little Keri Hilson with “Turn My Swag On.”

Any haters who believe the cousins would be nothing without the songs of others should be silenced somewhere around the 1:40 mark. Here Sophia Grace breaks off into an autobiographical break with more passion than most adult rappers.

Trisomy is a genetic disorder that gives a child an extra copy of the 18th chromosome. Rick Santorum left the campaign trail to be with his family and to be with his daughter, Bella, who has the condition.

I tend to not like politicians for the most part because they lie, cheat and don’t seem to give a damn about anything. But then, every now and then, one comes along and shows a bit of heart.

I can’t imagine the responsibility of having a child, let alone having a child with special needs.

As much as he says here that he pushed her away in his heart, he’s showing now that he’s willing to do what he needs to do to help her.

Ice hockey brawls are nothing new, but I’ve never seen one with participants so young. These littlies are playing in the under ten years division, and it seems they’re mad as hell. I’m not sure what instigated the hullaballoo, but it’s one hell of a hubbub.

Perhaps these kids are playing the wrong sport. Surely such impressive jabs and left hooks would be better served in the boxing ring, where such fighting skills are seen as more than bad sportsmanship!

Unfortunately, the food industry and media companies are working to get Congress to stop the IWG from finalizing these sensible recommendations.

This is one of the most moving videos I’ve seen in some time. Jonah, a student about to start grade eight, tells us of the bullying he’s been subjected to for years through a series of signs.

His words aren’t always spelled correctly, but that does nothing to diminish their power. He tells us of his history of cutting and the times he’s considered suicide. When he feels so many people hate him, including Jonah himself, it’s not hard to see why.

But ultimately this is a story of hope. Through his tears Jonah assures us he won’t give up or give in, because he’s got a million reasons to live. Thank goodness this kid has such perspective. Hopefully by sharing he can make others in the same situation feel a little less alone.

Country singer Mindy McCready was finally found with her son, hiding in a closet at her boyfriend’s home.

McCready is possibly guilty of “Parental Child Abduction”, taking the child across state boundaries, ignoring two court orders to return the boy, so on and so forth.

The more accurate statement is probably that she hasn’t been charged ‘yet’.

Yet, despite her past, I do hope some investigation is done into the claims of child abuse.

McCready could just be blowing hot air, but those sorts of things are always worth investigating just to be sure.

I just wonder where the father is in all this.

Colton Burpo believes he saw Heaven and sat on Jesus’ knee when he almost died during surgery. His story became a bestseller called Heaven Is For Real, and it has now been turned into a book for children.

Do I believe this story? Not literally as it’s told by a four-year-old child, no. I don’t think he made it up either, I just think he interpreted what happened to him while he was being operated on according to what he had been taught.

If this kid had been brought up as a Muslim or Buddhist then he would have interpreted thing differently. And if he’d been brought up as an atheist then I suspect he would have had a very down-to-earth experience.

I like to remain open-minded on these things, and I certainly don’t think this whole thing is the invention of the parents in order to make money. As to the rest of it, well, it’s down to what you believe and whether you have faith or not.

This kid is way too excited by the prospect of another spoonful of food. Especially as it’s only natural yogurt. I hate to think what the reaction will be when he starts eating Chinese food in a few years’ time.

Am I the only person freaked out by this kid? He has the biggest eyes I have ever seen on a baby, and won’t close them under any circumstances. And what’s with the OTT reaction to every mouthful of food?

His parents are trying to feed him yogurt. Boring, plain old yogurt. A food which no adult has ever got excited about eating unless they have been buried underground for a month and it’s their first meal in freedom.

This makes me wonder whether the weird child will become a weird adult. And what his reaction will be when he starts being offered food that is much, much tastier than yogurt. I’m pretty sure he’d kill for a slice of pizza.

In today’s world you can be famous for just about anything or nothing, including being incredibly fertile. If you can breed you can have a reality TV show, especially when you’re doing it en masse like the Duggars.

The family’s just made good on their program’s title 19 Kids and Counting. They visited the Today Show to announce number 20 is on its way.

The moniker might just stick, because surely after 19 kids you’d run out of names. I’d shudder at the thought of popping yet another one out, but Michelle and her husband Jim Bob are thanking God for their latest blessing. Of course they are.

Most often child stars are annoying brats who get by on dimples and toothy grins rather than talent. But not Tenzin, who shows us he’s got some mad performance skills with his cover of Adele’s “Someone Like You.”

Tenzin performs the track on Our Hit Parade, a New York based show that sees local artists gather to perform the latest chart hits. Most of the singers are much older than little Tenzin, but he holds his own as well as any seasoned diva.

After all, this is a little boy that needs only his first name. Just like Madonna, Prince, and even Adele, I’m predicting we’ll see plenty of this pint-sized star in the coming years.

After spending many a car trip belting out the songs from Rent, I’m convinced that any drive is better with show tunes. If you needed further persuading, this adorable Californian family and their take on Dreamgirls will likely push you over the edge.

Here we see them at the climactic argument scene, just before Effie White launches into “I’m Telling You.” That torch songs gets most of the attention in this musical, but this number gets its dues with this family rendition.

I must admit, I watched this video nervously, half expecting a collision as they reached their crescendo. Perhaps being able to sing and operate a motor vehicle is the real talent here!

I must admit, I don’t know anything about sports. But I’m pretty sure a football coach shouldn’t bench a player for scoring too many touchdowns. However that’s just what happened to sweet natured Arkansas running back Demias Jimerson.

It’s all down to something called the Madre Hill Rule which looks to make things fairer for everyone. But since when is sport about leveling the playing field? Surely a star like this deserves to shine!

To his credit Demias seems to be taking it all in his stride. Perhaps that’s because he knows next year he can score as many touchdowns as he likes!

I Don’t Know How She Does It is a new movie starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Greg Kinnear, and Pierce Brosnan. It’s about a woman struggling to juggle a busy work schedule with a hectic home life.

This has to be the least compelling movie trailer I have seen all year, but then I don’t think I, as a 34-year-old heterosexual male am exactly the target audience for I Don’t Know How She Does It.

Maybe it will appeal to people who are actually in the position Parker’s character finds herself in, which is to be living the lifestyle lots of modern women want to live. Not that they seem exactly happy when it becomes a reality.

There is an alternative to this lifestyle though: don’t have children. It’s not a necessity to bring more kids into the world. After all, there is a population problem already so maybe it would be a good thing if some of us decided to stay child-free.

Anyway, the movie: it looks crap. Simples.

Christina Applegate, Will Arnett and Maya Rudolph star in the new comedy ‘Up All Night’, all about what parenthood is really like.

I think they had me at the babysitter deciding the house is a death trap not just for baby but for the parents as well. Haha.

I have to admit that I am really impressed. If this show actually lives up to this preview (and they haven’t just thrown every single good part into the preview), I think this will be a good show.

I am amused at thinking about how the American public will take all the swearing, but that’s another topic.

When I was four I was starting to read and struggling to tie my laces. I thought I was doing OK, but after watching this video I wonder whether I was really achieving my potential. After all, in China little Jia Zheng is already driving like a pro!

Jia’s doting daddy doesn’t seem to mind that she can’t reach the pedals. He simply attaches stilts to her feet to help her operate the gas and brake! It seems like pretty extreme measures to help a tot drive a car, but then again throwing a child behind the wheel is pretty extreme!

Young Kanon Tipton has been dubbed the world’s youngest preacher after leading congregations at the tender age of four. This pint-sized evangelist is adorable, but he’s also more than a little creepy.

His doting parents obviously believe in Kanon’s gift, but I’m not so sure. Kanon is the grandson of a reverend, so it seems to me that he’s just emulating what he’s seen. When it garners as much attention as this, it’s not easy to see why Kanon continues to “preach.”

Call me a cynic, but this looks more like the case of an ordinary kid that’s a pretty good mimic than any real religious gifts. What do you think?

So it seems that the Chinese have actually taken knockoffs to a whole new level with this bootleg Disneyland. Some even say that it’s better than the original.

You’ll probably enjoy it when the owner of the park is interviewed and claims that all the the Mickey Mouse imitation is “a cat with big ears.”

I really don’t blame the Chinese for doing this. I mean, who can’t help but want to go to Disneyland when you make Disney-related merchandise in a factory all damn day? For those thinking about the Hong Kong Disneyland, that one actually recently opened whereas this one has been open since 1986.

It’s important to remember that most of the Disney characters are based off of Grimm’s Fairy Tales from 1812- so technically Disney stole most of the characters from the Brothers Grimm. The only problem, of course, is that they aren’t alive to sue Disney.

Seemingly inspired by a book called ‘To Train Up a Child’, a couple spanks their young girl to death and nearly does the same to another daughter.

It’s hard to know where to start on something like this. I am both disgusted and saddened.

That poor girl and all the children in that family.

And I’d just like to point out that they have the wrong view of even animal training in that book. You don’t smack a dog on the nose to hurt it; it’s the shock value.

Saying their must be pain in the spanking to teach your child is… abhorrent.

Parents are some of the most competitive people around. They want to know that their little bundle of joy is the cutest, the smartest, the fastest to reach their milestones, or just the fastest!

Here we see footage from the third annual Diaper Derby, a race which pits bubs against one another in the ultimate test of endurance.

That former sentence might sound a bit silly, but this video assures us the event sets the tone for the upcoming New York Triathlon. So it certainly sounds serious!

Personally I think there’s something disturbing about parents treating their kids like dogs they hope will “come,” but each to their own!
