When I think of Wheel Of Fortune, I usually think good ‘ol boring clean family fun. It’s often a show that I groan at whenever my grandma decides to watch it.

But what you’ll be surprised to hear in this interview is Pat Sajak happily admitting to being drunk while hosting the show in it’s early days!

I always knew cheesy gameshow hosts, especially ones that last for decades, couldn’t really be as boring as they appear on TV. “It was a different show back then” Pat admits- he and Vanna would down up to “6″ margaritas during their long breaks.

By the time they came back, they would often have trouble “recognizing the alphabet!”

Sure, Mark Wahlberg is a pretty respectable actor today, but back in 1993, this guy was doing anything he could get his hands on for exposure.

Take this Marky Mark Workout video for example- he’s practically a stereotypical meat-head.

Aside from the obviously over-sexed curls that occur at 2:30, my favorite moment of this video has to be when he says, “Why am I doing a fitness video…I’m a rapper.” Ah, yes, the short lived career of Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch.

You can’t knock the guy for being in shape and getting “the honeys,” but I can totally point out the fact that he may have a turrets problem with the word, “POW!”

Long running quiz show Jeopardy rarely gets me too excited, but even I was impressed by the gutsy game play of Roger Craig. This may be the ballsiest minute in Jeopardy history.

Craig is lucky enough to snag two of the elusive Daily Doubles in a row. And so he decides to make the most of it and risk it all on both occasions.

Craig was playing during this week’s Tournament of Champions, so he knew the lead could prove invaluable against his competitive opponents. However the move also has the potential to go terribly terribly wrong.

I won’t spoil it and tell you the result, but regardless of outcome you’ve got to admire his resolve!

When the New Zealand All Blacks line up against Australia’s Wallabies today, they’ll strike fear in the heart of their opponents with the haka. They’ll contort their faces and slap their thighs with such finesse that the Aussies will no doubt tremble.

But it seems times have changed, because back in the ’70s all the Kiwis had were a bunch of weedy white guys.

Lads, that’s not how you do a haka. This kind of display isn’t scaring anyone. It’s also likely angering the Maoris in the stands who know they could do it a million times better.

This, dear readers, is what we call a haka fail.

I’m really tempted to send this video to my parents for comedic purposes.

Dena Rizzo, who taught and sold dance tutorials in the early ’90s, is probably the last person I’d want to learn “hip-hop” from.

I don’t know if it’s the cheesy music or the MC Hammer style clothing that makes this video funny, but I’m glad I found this embarrassing footage.

In the early ’90s when hip hop was first gaining attention, there was a lot of money to be made off of confused suburban kids that wanted to be “hip.” Now that I think about it, I was probably one of those kids.

Back when LSD-25 (commonly known as “Acid”) was legal in the 50’s and part of the 60’s there were many studies that took place by various well-respected institutions.

This particular one done by the British military is pretty damn funny- these soldiers don’t seem like they wanna fight.

The guy laughing at the 1:09 mark must be having the time of his life! I would hate to have been there if “the enemy” was approaching with live ammo or it could have been a bad trip for everyone.

Luckily, this footage is available to see by the public in the UK. Here in America, there isn’t much archival footage of the US clinical trials that took place during WWII. After all, when you don’t have soldiers that want to fight, you don’t have a business of war.

Yesterday I was impressed by Freddegredde and his medley of Simpsons tunes. But it that wasn’t Fredde’s first foray into the world of television medleys. Here we see Freddegredde times two belting out some familiar television tunes.

Freddegredde uses some special effects so he can play both keyboards and guitar, and sing lead and back-up vocals. It might seem a bit gimmicky, but it makes sure these TV themes sound just right.

There’s something here for everybody, from modern themes like the songs from True Blood and The Office to retro hits from Cheers and Charles in Charge. And yes, he even gives us a little Simpsons!

Going on the internet may be as natural as reading a book now, but back in the ’90s the concept seemed strange and new. Here’s a funny compilation of people trying to explain exactly what the internet is.

Some suggestions include “a city,” “a network of networks,” and “that big computer at work.”

Growing up as a kid in the ’90s, I remember teachers using words like “The information superhighway” and “surfing” to describe what the internet was.

Hell, I even remember taking classes on the mere concept on e-mail in elementary school. If anyone you know still uses an AOL email account, be sure to send them this video for some laughs.

A lot of people claim that the 80’s had the cheesiest fashion and music, but this clip has me pondering about the 90’s all over again. Here’s a rap song that’s sure to make anyone uncomfortable while watching it- simply because it’s about rape.

And it doesn’t help that the guys rapping are just about as cool as your typical used car salesmen.

I can’t decide what’s worse, the cowboy hats and plastic glasses or the tone of these “rappers” voices. I’m pretty sure the lyrics are taken straight off of some educational pamphlet used to teach elementary kids.

What really get’s me cracking up is the fact that the back-up dancers are taking the song so seriously. Even the chick that sings is breathless by the end of it.

Airplane is one of those movies that I never really appreciated- that is, until I saw this clip-by-clip comparison of it to the movie that it spoofed.

Fun fact: The creators of Airplane! Actually bought the rights to Zero Hour so that they wouldn’t run into legal trouble for using lines from it.

I actually happen to think that this video is almost a replacement for seeing Airplane! Sure, it’s funny to watch by itself, and the infamous boobies scene is always fun, but seeing exactly what it’s making fun of makes more sense.

Those are just a few words that might come to mind after viewing this old 90’s training video. Don’t get caught tapping your foot.

Having worked for a handful of minimum wage jobs, I thought I saw every type of training video there was. Little did I know Wendy’s actually had a musical one! While the singer isn’t half-bad, I’m sure he’s embarrassed that this video went viral.

It’s hard to believe now, but once upon a time it was cool to be like Michael Jackson. The 90’s seem like such a different world.

If you were a 90’s kid then get ready to have your mind blown! Somehow the creators of this video managed to cram our entire childhood into 94 seconds.

Rather than ranting about how much better the 90’s were than our current decade, I’d like to point out that most of the footage in this montage was made before the internet. And while I haven’t watched Nickelodeon or actually enjoyed any music videos on MTV in a while, I have to say I love high-speed internet.

The strangest part about this video is that no matter who I’ve shared it with, all of my friends seem to recognize almost every second. With media constantly changing and getting more specialized, I can’t really see this happening for the generation of kids in the 2010’s.

What’s “popular” today really depends on the group of people you ask.

Ebonics, when used by non-black people is quite entertaining; we’ve all seen those typical rap parody videos. But this video, unlike those, shows the hypocrisy of “the N word.”

And by that I mean “ninja.”

Being multi-racial, I found out that racial stereotypes were complete bullshit at a young age. When it came to talking among friends, I had to adjust my slang for each group of people I interacted with. That being said, I firmly believe that words like “nigga” shouldn’t be as taboo as they sometimes are.

Sure, this video is funny, but it also brings up a great point. Making a word like “nigga” exclusive to once race is racist in itself.

Now that we’re past the seconds month of the Gulf Oil Leak, many people are suggesting various solutions that might seem better than what BP is doing; this vintage clip being one of them.

Might, of course, being the keyword. This video proposes a great solution for a gas leak crisis on land, but it isn’t very suitable for a leak underwater. I’m no expert, but I’m sure the government has thought of this “solution” and determined that it would be unsafe.

Sure, a nuclear explosion might solve the oil leak, but it would do more harm than good. Marine life would be contaminated and the waters would be even more toxic than before. Lord knows we don’t need our own Hiroshima.

I say we first cap the spill then clean the contamination up with oyster mushrooms.

Phrases like, “Public restrooms can often be a hangout for the homosexual,” may be jokes today, but they were once widely regarded as fact.

This is an actual video that was shown in classrooms in the 1950’s. With brainwashing like this, it’s pretty easy to understand how an entire generation could become homophobic.

There’s nothing really gay in this entire 10 minute video, but there are quite a lot of innuendos and homophobic comments. In fact, it’s more of a PSA against pedophiles and strangers than anything else. “Riding in the shadow of death,” is a pretty laughable description.

I started watching this video because I thought it might be hilarious in hindsight. However, after a few chuckles I came to sick realization- millions of boys grew up with this hateful PSA in mind and regarded it as the truth.

They just don’t make toys like the used to. It’s hard to believe that you could buy your kids a realistic toy machine gun for $3 at one point in history.

If this toy was produced today it would be illegal to let kids play with it. At least under current US laws.

Since I was a 90’s kid the closest we ever got to playing with real guns were Nerf guns that shot foam darts. The machine gun versions of them were upwards of $60 dollars so my parents couldn’t afford them; reloading the cheaper 4-shot Nerf gun I had was such a pain in the ass.

Now that I see this, I kind of feel like I missed out on a lot more fun. Adjusted for inflation, these guns would be around $30 in the store today.

Eddie Murphy may star in a lot of crappy kids movies these days, but there was one point when he was on Saturday Night Live telling dirty jokes.

Here’s a classic clip of him advising more attractive people to have sex with ugly people- a very newsworthy piece I might add.

I have to admit, I never thought of orgasms the way that Eddie describes it before, but everyone is indeed ugly when they have sex. The faces and noises that we make during intercourse are quite bizarre.

One has to wonder though, if sex makes pretty people ugly, then do ugly people get even more ugly? Or do we all reach the same level of ugliness? On second thought, I don’t want ever find out the answer to that question.

Having only known her with her hair all white, it is interesting to see – and especially hear – Betty White as a younger woman. I never knew she could sing!

Now in her 80s, it’s obvious that all that talent has carried her through a wonderful, full career. I would not be surprised to see her make a comeback of some sort.

Can you imagine Betty White hosting the next Survivor or Big Brother? Now that would be one thing to make me start watching reality television.

Sit down with the voice actors as well as many celebrities as they all talk about the amazing phenomenon that is The Simpsons.

I absolutely love getting to know the voice actors behind my favorite animations, and The Simpsons is no exception.

I always shake my head in amazement when I am reminded of just how few people voice so many characters! I remember being shocked when I found out Bart is voiced by a woman.

The Simpsons has always been a favorite show of mine that crossed lines and had no respect for political correctness. I hope it goes forever.

This guy may not be very keen on English (hence his accent on some of the songs), but he sure is a talented musician. Here he plays 22 different tv theme songs in just 7 minutes.

What’s even more amazing is the fact that he plays two different instruments on separate takes, combines them, and even harmonizes with himself!

Just learning all of these songs on guitar is hard enough; also doing so on piano is incredible. As a former piano player, I still have respect for anyone who can play and sing without loosing concentration at the same time.

The first song “Two & A Half Men” seems to be the highlight of the whole clip. To be honest, I used to think that the “x number of songs in x number of minutes” concept had been played out, but this one is just as fresh as all the other virals.
