<p>You know that horrible live-audience wooing noise in American sitcoms? The one that follows any kiss or tender moment? How about using it inappropriately, and in <em>Saved By The Bell</em>?</p>

<p>It works. We end up with a clip which is funnier than it should be.</p>
<p>The main thing I take away from this video is how bad the acting was in <em>Saved By The Bell</em>. Mark-Paul Gosselaar is shockingly bad, especially in the scene where he&#8217;s reacting to the bad news.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s even beyond the fact that the clothes and hair were horrible, the writing was dire, and every single aspect of the show was diabolically bad. At least looking back now. At the time it originally aired I loved it.</p>

<p>This video shows the making of <em>Life&#8217;s Too Short</em>, the new sitcom (a lot of sit, not much com) from Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. I&#8217;m afraid the comedy duo have failed on this occasion.</p>

<p>We&#8217;re now halfway through the first season (I suspect there won&#8217;t be a second) of <em>Life&#8217;s Too Short</em>. And I&#8217;m not impressed. The show is very uneven, with flashes of brilliance in amongst a lot of trash.</p>
<p>The basic premise isn&#8217;t all that good, even though Warwick Davis is a legend and the best thing on the show. But the big problem with <em>Life&#8217;s Too Short</em> are Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant playing themselves.</p>
<p>They are just themselves rather than caricatures. And they have their celebrity friends drop by, which helps the show but doesn&#8217;t half smack of name dropping.</p>
<p><em>The Office</em> was genius, <em>Extras</em> hit and miss. <em>Life&#8217;s Too Short</em> is just a bit crap. And a failure may be just what Gervais needs to bring him back down to earth.</p>

<p>Is this the beginning of the end for <em>How I Met Your Mother</em>?</p>
<p><span id="more-29746"></span>It looks like things could possibly be wrapping up for How I Met Your Mother and the story. </p>
<p>With Lily and Marshall going to have their baby and Barney getting ready to get married at the end of the previous season, it looks like things really could be wrapping up for the gang.</p>
<p>There have been reports that the cast is ready to move onto new projects. </p>
<p>Plus, I have to admit, as much as I like this show&#8230; It&#8217;s kind of wearing itself thin on the original premise of finding out who the mother is.</p>
<p>I will sorely miss the characters, and I hope the writers close this show with style.</p>

<p>It clearly isn&#8217;t just me who doesn&#8217;t find <em>Two And A Half Men</em> even remotely funny, and can&#8217;t understand how so many people think it&#8217;s a worthy show to whittle their life away watching.</p>
<p>I also can&#8217;t understand why Charlie Sheen is paid millions of dollars for each episode, especially when you can visibly see he doesn&#8217;t care and is only doing it for the money.</p>

<p>In the meantime, the future of the show is still up in the air. Which means the actors, including Jordana Spiro, Jim Gaffigan, and Reid Scott, are having to turn down other work to be available to fulfill their contracts.</p>
<p>What is it with American television these days? Shows have to keep getting record viewing figures to stay  on air. If the numbers dip even a little, the show gets canned. Let&#8217;s hope <em>My Boys</em> doesn&#8217;t follow that trend.</p>

Urkel was always funny to me as a kid, but I always shy away from the show when I see re-runs on TV. Most of my childhood TV favorites are no longer funny to me and I automatically assumed <em>Family Matters</em> would be the same. Boy, was I wrong!</p>

<p>Fortunately for him, most women he runs into turn out to be. Take, for example, this scene with his ex-fiancee&#8217;s cousin Olivia Falconeri; their heated argument turns into a make-out session. Actor Maurice Benard, who really is bi-polar in real life, stated the following an interview with Oprah:</p>

It&#8217;s a little known fact that the majority of the audience for <em>The Cosby Show</em> at it&#8217;s peak of popularity was the white middle-class. So while it may seem surprising to find jokes like the one at the 4:34 mark made, I&#8217;m sure there were tons more that will never see the light of day.</p>
<p>This footage came as a extra on the Cosby Show Season 2 DVDs released back in 2005. It took 20 years, but now we finally get a glimpse into the &#8220;real&#8221; Cosby family.</p>

<p class="summary"><strong>Ever since the classic comedy Red Dwarf aired it’s last show  in 1998 on a cliffhanger ending there has been talk of more shows to come. However, a  decade later the Red Dwarf audience have been denied of any new shows, but this is about to change.</strong></p>
<p>There was talk of a new Red Dwarf movie and a script was written but Doug  Naylor, a Red Dwarf writer, was unable to secure funding for the movie.</p>
<p>Back in August 2008 we heard news of a brand new 1 hour  special in the works complete with the original Red Dwarf cast. You can see Robert  Llewellyn discussing the new special in the radio interview below:</p>

<h3><strong>Four New Red Dwarf Specials </strong>Announced</h3>
<p>However, since that interview the plans for Red Dwarf have  <span style="text-decoration: underline;">changed again</span>. It has been <a href="http://www.reddwarf.co.uk/news/2008/09/19/new-red-dwarf-specials-confirmed/">announced</a> that there will be four, half hour Red Dwarf specials for the UK TV channel, <a href="http://dave.uktv.co.uk/shows/">Dave</a>.</p>
<p>It will of course contain the original cast and is planned  to air sometime in 2009. The current episode list (subject to change) is as  follows:</p>

However, this is something ‘Dave’ TV should definitely be considering  with the growing popularity of online viewing.</p>

<p>Despite having 10 million subscribers worldwide, and picking up new ones every day, WoW remains the domain of the geek, or at least that&#8217;s what traditional media would have us believe.</p>

<h3>One Million Nerds</h3>

<p>So when a new Web based comedy drama about a mismatched group of online role-playing gamers found its way on to <a href="http://www.webtvwire.com/category/companies/youtube/">YouTube</a> last October, 1 million nerds watched it.</p>

<p>The show is the brainchild of Felicia Day, a geeky yet attractive professional actress who regularly appeared on <em>Buffy The Vampire Slayer</em>.</p>

<p>Although the first episode of the show was originally intended as a pilot, its success on YouTube meant that Day and her collaborators couldn&#8217;t let the fans down.</p>

<p>6 months later, and there are 8 episodes available to watch. The show was also nominated for both YouTube and <a href="http://www.webtvwire.com/category/companies/yahoo/">Yahoo</a> Video awards.</p>

<p>The show is still being financed through the generosity of fans who donate between $5 and $100 through the official site.</p>

<p>The show is about the lovable pair&#8217;s attempts at getting their act entitled <em>Nirvana The Band</em> booked. Obviously being a sitcom this doesn&#8217;t go altogether smoothly, which is where the comedy comes in to play.</p>

<p>The style is very much that of a mock documentary, which reminded me of The Office, although without the plays to the camera.</p>

<h3>The First Episode &#8211; The Beginning</h3>

<p>In case you hadn&#8217;t already realised, the show has nothing to do with <a href="http://www.webtvhub.com/smells-like-teen-spirit-cover-video-nirvana-song-with-ukuleles-and-lounge-vocals/">the band Nirvana</a>, indeed some of the comedy is derived from the fact that the duo don&#8217;t seem to realise the name has been used before.</p>

<p>It&#8217;s a brilliantly conceived and quite professionally made little sitcom, which deserves a viewing. With the promise of at least five episodes, and hopefully more, you should give it a go.</p>

<p>Director Peter Richardson looks to have been fed up with the constraints of traditional television, and so decided to relaunch the cult show on the Internet instead.</p>

<p>She is sat in a boardroom meeting trying to explain what the IT department have been doing recently and comes out with the gem that &#8220;If you type Google in to Google, you CAN break the Internet.&#8221;</p>

<p>Now, none of you go and try it, just in case it&#8217;s true&#8230; I said DON&#8217;T!</p>

<p>I have to admit, though, that my favorite thing that NBC.com has done is the <a href="http://www.nbc.com/My_Name_Is_Earl/video/?8604#mea=59817">Karma Cam</a>.  Ordinary people admit to the camera all of the bad stuff that they&#8217;ve done in the past.  My favorite is the guy apologizing to his buddy for pissing on him while he was drunk.  That&#8217;s just classic.</p>
