This is a stunning viral video imagining what happens in a bookshop after dark. All the books come to life, the shelves heave with motion, and eBooks are left looking ugly in comparison.

This is a viral video extolling not one specific bookshop or chain of bookshops, but books as a whole. Real books, made of paper and card, rather than their digital equivalents.

The problem is that although many of us love the feeling of holding a real book in our hands, which is far superior to holding an eBook reader, traditional books are clearly becoming a thing of the past.

In the same way music has already switched to a digital commodity, so will books. Movies and games are already well on their way too. You had better hold onto to the books you love as they won’t be around forever.

The weekend is almost over, and you’re probably starting to drag your feet. Don’t worry, this video, featuring a dancing traffic cop, is bound to turn your frown upside down.

Something tells me this guy from The Philippines never suffers from Mondayitis. He does his job with a spring in his step, and the tunes of the late great Michael Jackson in his heart.

It’s almost like this guy is channeling Michael as he shimmies down the street. He gets the job done, but he does it with style.

I have to wonder how the drivers of the Philippines get around with accidents though. I think I’d spend more time watching this fab cop than the road!

Move over Britney Spears; there’s a new hip hop dancing queen in town. You wouldn’t know it to look at her, but sweet Aunt Carol is about to blow your mind.

From a chair in her mother’s bathroom, Aunt Carol performs dance moves that are tighter than Britney’s busted in years. Inspired by the beats of Usher, Aunt Carol pops and locks with the best of them. She even chest pops, people.

Which brings me to my next question: why is this video less than a minute long? Aunt Carol’s just warming up, surely! I want to see more of this, much more.

This is the official music video for Dance For You by Beyonce. The fans have been desperate to see it, although I don’t quite know why because it doesn’t seem very different from her last one, or the one before that.

The song is horrible. It’s all over the place. Perhaps it will grow on me over time but for now it just comes across as a bit of a mess my ears are keen not to have to listen to any more.

And then there is the video. It’s as though Beyonce is trying to conjure up the spirit of Single Ladies, which worked extremely well as a video. But while that was simple and elegant this just comes across as convoluted and trying too hard.

If this is anything to go by then I’d rather Beyonce didn’t dance for me. In fact, if she could Dance For You and get out of my face then I’d be a happy man.

With just a week to go before Halloween it’s rather fitting to watch this video of the cast of The Addams Family musical singing one of the numbers – When You’re An Addams – from the show.

The Addams Family musical didn’t quite manage to set Broadway alight in the way it was meant to. Middling reviews mean it will end its run at the end of the year, but U.S. and international tours will prolong its life.

This video is from a time when The Addams Family musical was just heading to Broadway, with the original cast including Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwith performing When You’re An Addams.

If you want to catch The Addams Family musical on Broadway then do so in the next few months. And with special events being held over Halloween now would be the perfect opportunity.

The fashion world tends to take itself very seriously. Models rarely smile despite wearing the sort of clothes I’d give my right arm for. So thank goodness for Lanvin, which celebrates the lighter side of life with this fun fall/winter advertising campaign.

Models Karen Elson, Raquel Zimmermann, Lowell Tautchin, and Milo Spijker let their hair down and enjoy some unashamedly bad dancing to the Pitbull soundtrack. How refreshing to see models actually having fun in their designer garb for once. More of this please!

Forget Miss World and Miss Universe. In County Kerry, Ireland, there’s a much more important beauty pageant. Every year the county searches for a woman who is “lovely and fair” in the annual Rose of Tralee competition.

This year the event got a bit of a shake-up thanks to controversial hip hop dancing beauty, Siobheal Nic Eochaidh.

While most girls recite a poem or play a musical instrument, Siobheal decided to be a little less sedate. Riverdance it ain’t. With her crotch-grabbing and animated facial expression, Siobheal shocked the judges and the viewing public.

Needless to say, she didn’t win, but she certainly made a big impression!

I’m really tempted to send this video to my parents for comedic purposes.

Dena Rizzo, who taught and sold dance tutorials in the early ’90s, is probably the last person I’d want to learn “hip-hop” from.

I don’t know if it’s the cheesy music or the MC Hammer style clothing that makes this video funny, but I’m glad I found this embarrassing footage.

In the early ’90s when hip hop was first gaining attention, there was a lot of money to be made off of confused suburban kids that wanted to be “hip.” Now that I think about it, I was probably one of those kids.

I don’t ordinarily like kids. I think they’re horrible sticky creatures that are prone to breaking things and sucking the life from hapless adults. But I have to admit, the dancing twins in this video make my uterus ache!

These little guys love their Wii, and they adore Outkast’s “Hey Ya.” Here we see them busting out the choreographed dance steps and making viewers around the world fall in love with them.

The singing brother seems to be the leader here, but I think I prefer his hip-swiveling twin. Elvis “The Pelvis” Presley would be proud of those heart-breaking moves!

Cheerleading is largely a girls club. The lads get involved in some heavy lifting, but the really impressive moves are left up to the ladies. But it seems there’s a Chinese man that’s muscling in on the girls’ territory.

This video shows the colorful Asian man carving up the stadium. Ordinarily all eyes are on curvaceous female cheerleaders, but I’ll bet no one can look anywhere else when he’s busting a move.

The world’s slowly breaking down its gender barriers, and this video shows us one of the sunniest examples. More power to this Chinese cheerleader, and any other gents that follow in his flamboyant fancy footsteps!

We’ve seen Carrie the meringue dancing golden retriever and the hot salsa dog, but El Willy may be the cutest Latin dancing dog of them all. Just see if you can resist this tiny Chihuahua with rhythm in his paws!

Those big puppy dog eyes suck you in as he shimmies and shakes his hips in time to the beat. It’s all incredibly adorable, although I don’t think El Willy’s owners have gone quite far enough.

Sure he’s got an awesome stage name, but where’s the costume? They should take some tips from Carrie’s owners if El Willy’s ever going to hit the big time!

We all love the Oscars and Golden Globes, but unless you’re in the theater industry you probably don’t watch the Tonys. All that singing and dancing can be a bit, well, lip wristed, right? Au contraire my good man; as Neil Patrick Harris tells us, Broadway’s not just for gays any more!

He makes a very compelling argument here, although things always sound more convincing when they’re delivered in song. But with the assistance of stars like Stephen Colbert, Bobby Cannavale, and a somewhat confused Brooke Shields, how could this number go wrong?

Perhaps it’s time the producers of those high ratings awards show started to take note. This is how they should all begin!

No longer just a way to get across a river, canoes are now a vessel for some very elegant dancing! In this bizarre video we see one of the competitors from the Mid-West Freestyle Canoe Championships.

He certainly looks the part in his snappy suit as he circles around the lake. The sensual Chris de Burgh soundtrack only makes this video more amusing!

I’m not sure canoe dancing will ever get the cult following enjoyed by reality TV dance competitions, but surely there’s potential there. That’s especially true if we have a few spills; they’re bound to be much more spectacular on the water!

The global Got Talent TV shows introduce us to some weird and wacky acts, from Australia’s rocking Bad Piper to the Ukraine’s pint-sized kiddy gymnasts. And now China’s Got Talent has given us Bai Shu Ying, a grandma with some serious moves.

When I heard this 65-year-old Asian woman could dance like Michael Jackson I thought the video might be good for a laugh. I didn’t expect the precision with which this nanna performs Jacko’s famous moves!

Frankly Bai Shu Ying can move quicker than I can at more than twice my age. No wonder she breezed through the audition round!

The British Royal Family is by its very nature an old and out-of-touch organization. But every now and then it does show flashes of brilliance, and of a desire to keep up with modern times. And what is more modern than a flashmob?

So that there are no cries of foul-play concerning the title, no members of the royal family are actually entertaining the crowd of tourists in this video. Instead it’s a group of young performing arts students.

As funny as it would be to see the Queen or Prince Phillip getting involved in such a way it wouldn’t really be very becoming for someone in such a high-up position.

However, although they didn’t actually take part this was organized by Buckingham Palace to commemorate a reception for young people being held there. Which is pretty damn cool, if you ask me.

Most of us really don’t take the opportunities life affords us. Like in Apple Stores, where the various products are just sitting around waiting to be used and abused. In potentially genius ways.

Like performing a public homage to Check It Out by Will.I.Am and Nicki Minaj. While I’m no fan of the Buggles-stealing song itself, this kid makes it worth listening to. Just this once.

As cool as the kid is, the most interesting part of the video is the girls standing in the background. They all look at our hero like he’s a little freak, which I suppose he is. But they also look at him like they want to stab him with sharp objects. Which is harsh, to say the least.

I think we should designate one day of the year when we all enter our nearest Apple Store and dance around to a song playing loud through one of the devices. Oh to see the faces of those so-called Geniuses when they see it kicking off.

If you follow Harry Potter at all, then you know that the Hogwarts school in the movies teaches various classes on witchcraft and wizardry. Now if only we could get the last Harry Potter movie to include a bunch of magical pole dancers.

Everything in this video from the directing and effects to the dancing are top notch. I only wish the dubstep music was a little better- perhaps Skrillex should jump on the remix?

Primary school children attending a school in rural China have become internet sensations for their daily dance performance of Michael Jackson’s “Dangerous.”

The kids perform the amazing dance as part of their daily calisthenics class. Apparently the locals were unprepared for the school’s instant fame, as to them such modern dancing is simply a way to keep fit and have fun.

Somehow I don’t think old videos of me playing soccer or softball at school would have made such an impression on YouTube. I take my hat off to these kids, and to the teachers who taught them such amazing moves.

Japanese businessmen get funky in the music video for “Machine Civilization,” the new single for World Order. Not since OK Go jumped on their treadmills have I been so excited about a film clip.

The musical dance group is led by formal martial artist Genki Sudo, and I can certainly see his influences. The band moves with such precision as they make their way through a busy airport, tourist attractions, and the city streets.

The song certainly doesn’t have the hooks of “Here It Goes Again,” but on a purely visual level this definitely works. Stiff Japanese businessman have never been so cool!

While the Northern Hemisphere is still celebrating St. Patricks Day, Australians are nursing their Guinness headaches. But before we got stock into the dark stuff we enjoyed an Irish flashmob, courtesy of the cast of the stage musical Riverdance.

The Riverdancers were joined by local high school students at Sydney’s Central train station. Some 100 dancers performed the Irish jig and spread some St. Patricks Day cheer to stunned morning commuters.

I don’t know about you, but I think this is the right way to start every St. Patricks Day. It probably wouldn’t have the same novelty factor in 2012, but right now I’m impressed!
