This is a small clip from BBC taking a look at what makes an internet troll and trying to gain some insight as to why they do it.

I hardly know where to start with this one.

Some people may say that this video is pointless and why are they tracking down these people when there are murderers and rapists running around.

But I think it’s a valuable thing because there is a lot of internet trolling and bullying.

Not only has this caused/contributed to suicides, but it really shines a light on needing to examine what is wrong with society that people feel unfulfilled unless they try damaging other people.

He’s a sad man, to be sure.

Members of Blink-182, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rancid, Rise Against, Pennywise, NOFX, and more are featured in this documentary which interviews punk rock dads.

Ok, so it’s not the most exciting topic, but it’s sure to warm your heart for any dads out there.

Described as a “coming of middle age” story, The Other F Word isn’t the best documentary I’ve ever seen, but I thought I’d share the trailer because it tells a story that hasn’t really been told before concerning punk bands.

The whole “Fuck Authority” movement seems a little out-dated when you see the same people actually becoming the ultimate authority- Fathers.

In this installment of The Chinese are Coming, Justin Rowlatt travels into Brazil and the United States on his journey to investigate the spread of Chinese influence around the planet.

This is a fascinating documentary that asks a lot of important questions. China looks to be well on its way…

It is easy to get depressed about the world when you see the news each night with so many bad things happening.

But we must remember to look at the world we are living in as wonderful and exciting times as well.

It’s often too easy to forget how fortunate we are to live on this planet. This video should act as a reminder of how beautiful the natural world is, if only we’d stop and soak it in once in a while.

I sincerely hope those of you resident outside the U.K. can watch this video, because it is a joy to behold.

If not then just imagine David Attenborough’s dulcet tones speaking the lyrics to What A Wonderful World while images of the natural world play out underneath in glorious HD. Have I painted a picture?

Attenborough’s shows on the BBC have always been fascinating, but the new breed, from Planet Earth onwards, are superior. Mainly thanks to high-definition, which suits the footage perfectly.

Lulu is a single mom who’d gone back to school and didn’t have the time or interest in working full-time to pay for rent. So when she had to move out of her more conventional home, she decided to move herself and her daughter into a shipping container.

With little building experience – none when it came to building a house – Lulu spent just one month cutting windows and a door and installing insulation and a basic kitchen (complete with propane-powered campstove and on-demand water heater).

Using only recycled building materials- including used floorboards, windows, cabinets, doors, bathtub, toilet and sinks – she built the entire thing for about $4,000 (trailer included).

We Are Legion is the upcoming documentary about the rise of Anonymous and hacker culture in the digital age – as well as an age of unrest.

I’m looking forward to seeing this documentary and what they will do with it.

I just hope it doesn’t turn into a cheerleader ‘we’re so cool’ fest.

Rather than thinking in terms of black and white, boy and girl, there is much more of a ‘grey area’ in terms of sex than you might think.

Many people have declared to predict the future, but few are as famous as Nostradamus and ‘The Sleeping Prophet’ Edgar Cayce.

As mentioned in the video, it is easy to look back on a prophecy and fit it to an event in history that works. However, some of these prophecies get so specific that you begin to wonder…

I think Mother Shipton is very interesting for her rather clear predictions, but the last I heard, there is some controversy over whether she was herself or a set of people who later gave her a name.

Take a sneak peek at the trailer for a documentary on the making of South Park.

What started off as a show featuring farts, swearing and other rude things is now a massive hit show.

But that doesn’t mean the creators have grown any more mature or have changed their ‘fly by the seat of their pants’ attitude toward making the show.

As much as a lot of South Park stuff is pretty much revolting to me, I am really interested in seeing this. Especially when it comes to a show that has no qualms about pushing every single button they can.

This is a small snapshot of the first episode of Curiosity, which sees Stephen Hawking ask, and try to answer, the question, “Did God create the universe?”

I consider myself generally to be science-minded and I don’t subscribe to any organized religion. But I don’t think anything should be dismissed as bunkum by Hawking and his fellow scientists and/or atheists.

The ultimate point is that no one knows whether a force outside of our understanding or even outside of our universe exists. Whether you’re one who would call it God or not, it’s impossible to prove or disprove this.

As for Curiosity, the explanation of how all of us and everything we see around can have come from nothingness is beyond my understanding. Still, it’s intriguing to watch this theory being explained.

Life In A Day is an amazing yet really simple concept. Make a movie offering a glimpse into the lives of hundreds of ordinary people as they do whatever they do on one single in day of the year.

Why hadn’t anyone thought of it before? Because we needed the Web, YouTube, and lots of people to have access to good video cameras. And that time is now.

Life In A Day was directed by Kevin MacDonald and produced by Ridley Scott, and is in theaters now (opening exactly a year after the footage was shot). If you like documentaries then this has to be worth watching.

While this video took a different turn than I thought it would, the initial question is quite an interesting one.

I initially thought that my price would be a lot lower than other people’s. A few million would do me just fine.

But then I got to thinking of all the things I use the internet for – including keeping touch with people around the world.

Yes, if I gave up the internet, I would have more time to do other things, but I would lose out on a lot more than I initially thought.

So how much money would it take for you to give it up?

They say that the winners writing the history books, but there aren’t many winners who are so well known as Alexander the Great.

Alexander is back in the forefront of our minds with Macedonia having recently erected a giant bronze statue of the warrior.

This act has further inflamed a long-running row with neighboring Greece that is blocking the country’s bid for membership of the European Union and NATO.

Statue or no statue, Alexander was certainly one of the most influencing people in history, and he would no doubt find the statue in his honor a great tribute.

But what would he think of the irritations between the two countries…?

Late last year I showed an interview with John of God (João de Deus) a spirit-doctor from Brazil.

It is one thing to hear about what he does but something else to see it in action. Watch this fascinating clip from a movie showing actual operations performed by the self-proclaimed ‘psychic surgeon.’

This may not be definitive proof, but it is up close and clear footage of something many people believe to be proof of God; faith healing is often a fakery using animal parts and magic tricks, but it is hard to see how this could be faked.

Mental illness of any sort is often hard to understand and treated with various stigmas in society. Stephen Fry takes us through his own battle with mental illness: Manic Depressive Disorder.

Stephen Fry has always been a hero of mine for only a few years now, but my admiration for him grows more and more.

Okay, so like we need any more reminders of how we live in a sick, sad world that is in desperate need of fixing… but you didn’t expect that to stop me, did you?

I think films like these are needed so we don’t forget that there are things out there like this… and that we have to stand together to fix them.

Almost all of us have some thought towards the end of the world – especially with the recent pack of natural disaster tragedies we’ve been through. But does this mean the world as we know is going to end in 2012?

There are communities building bunkers to survive it, forums to discuss its possibilities and more than a few people concerned over what it might mean: 2012.

In particular, December 21st 2012.

Personally, I feel like it’s hard not to believe something is up, given the number or horrible natural disasters we’ve had as a planet lately. Earthquakes, tsunamis (with the resulting flooding), landslides, tornadoes…
