This video shows the first official trailer for The Bourne Legacy, the fourth Bourne movie but the first one not to feature the titular character of Bourne or Matt Damon.

Will it suck or be absolutely awesome?

If the trailer is anything to go on The Bourne Legacy is going to rock. Matt Damon is a loss to the franchise, without doubt, but Jeremy Renner is a ready-made replacement and a fine actor in his own right.

Tony Gilroy, who wrote the first three Bourne movies, wrote and directed The Bourne Legacy, which has clearly helped. And who knows, Damon could return as Bourne in the future. Perhaps teaming up with Renner to take down Treadstone!

The Bourne Legacy is due for release on Aug. 3. I’ll definitely be there.

One of the best Super Bowl ads this year was Matthew Broderick’s Day Off, a spin on the classic Ferris Bueller’s Day Off movie from 1986. But how do the two compare?

One video editor spent rather too long putting the new ad for the Honda CR-V next to the movie and comparing them shot-for-shot, side-by-side. And the result is fascinating.

This shows the lengths Honda and the advertising firm it hired went to to ensure the ad was accurate and memorable. It doesn’t quite make me want to buy a new car, but it does make me want to watch Ferris Bueller’s Day Off again.

On the surface Take This Waltz appears like so many introspective talky indie films. However there are a few reasons to take a look at Sarah Polley’s latest flick.

The first is clearly Polley herself, who brought us the award-winning Away From Her. Then there’s Michelle Williams, who seems incapable of choosing a bad film or delivering a bad performance.

But perhaps I’m most interested to see both Seth Rogen and Sarah Silverman take on some dramatic roles. Rogen’s skirted around drama with some of his more moving comedies, but this is something even meatier for him.

Take This Waltz hits American cinemas in June.

Last year a trailer of this surfaced, and I wasn’t too thrilled. It just seemed like a video game- the CGI needed a lot of work to say the least.

But now that this second trailer has just been released, I’m going to have to put my stamp of approval on this. This is defiantly NOT the same Spiderman that we’re used to seeing in theaters.

Peter Parker is back with a new bad-boy image, Mary Jane doesn’t have red hair (or is that supposed to be Gwen Stacy?), and the villain in this movie looks to be The Lizard.

As a fan of the old trilogy, I’m going to have too see this! Sometimes, change is good.

Members of Blink-182, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rancid, Rise Against, Pennywise, NOFX, and more are featured in this documentary which interviews punk rock dads.

Ok, so it’s not the most exciting topic, but it’s sure to warm your heart for any dads out there.

Described as a “coming of middle age” story, The Other F Word isn’t the best documentary I’ve ever seen, but I thought I’d share the trailer because it tells a story that hasn’t really been told before concerning punk bands.

The whole “Fuck Authority” movement seems a little out-dated when you see the same people actually becoming the ultimate authority- Fathers.

For some reason, FOX news likes to occasionally blame Hollywood for pushing a “liberal” agenda. This time, it’s the good ‘ol Muppets!

I find it hilarious that being “Green” and watching things like ‘Cars 2′ and ‘Captain Planet’ is now considered brainwashing.

In my opinion, having the evil character being an oil tycoon, is pretty realistic and relevant. Eventually, one host says, these kids grow up to be like the 99% protestors- all be cause they “have been indoctrinated.”

Being educated on conserving the environment shouldn’t be criticized, it’s hard enough to get kids to simple things like take showers instead of baths.

As humpday approaches we’re all starting to get a bit frustrated with the working week and life in general. It’s enough to make you want to flip someone off, or perhaps watch a bunch of actors doing the same.

The fun supercut brings together some of cinema’s great middle finger moments. Watching these actors extending the middle digit was enough to make me smile and forget about all that midweek stress. The use of Cee-Lo’s uncensored “F*ck You” was also spot on. Just don’t go watching this at the office.

However, if you’re having a particularly terrible week you may want to forward this to your boss when you’re done!

This video shows the official movie trailer for The Vow, a new rom-com based on true events starring Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum. I have to say I’m not impressed.

The Vow tells the story of a couple who had a perfect marriage until a car accident puts the wife in a coma and makes her lose her memory. Her husband then has to win her love all over again.

McAdams seems to only make movies of this nature. Or at least I only notice her when she does. I guess she suits the storylines, and they suit her. As for Channing Tatum, I’m not a fan.

I won’t be watching this film, at least not in cinemas. But I’m guessing there will be many who do. Mostly women, naturally.

The Grey is a new movie showing what could happen if you ever get stranded in a winter wonderland with a pack of hungry, starving wolves who are baying for blood. Need I say more?

OK, you need a little more. How about the fact, as you can clearly see in the red band trailer embedded above, that Liam Neeson is the lead actor. Liam Neeson kicks ass, almost as much as Chuck Norris.

There has been criticism over the film’s portrayal of wolves as bloodthirsty beasts. So what?!? It’s a bloody film, metaphorically and literally, so get over it.

This is a must-see movie for me. One of the finest actors fighting off hordes of wolves? Yeah, I’ll have some of that please.

The original Jaws was a chilling thriller that kept thousands of sun lovers out of the water. Now that movie has been cleverly tweaked into a family-friendly adventure called Finding Jaws.

I tip my metaphorical hat to the ingenuity and the patience of this mock trailer maker. It’s incredible that by cutting together just the right footage and adding an uplifting soundtrack, complete with some Men at Work, the creator can turn Jaws into something you’d take your kids to.

I must admit, I’ve never quite summoned the courage to watch the original, but I’d see this sweet flick in a heartbeat!

This video may only be 10-seconds-long, but it has caused a sensation on social networks. Could we be about to see Ferris Bueller’s Day Off 2 announced? It isn’t likely. Instead, it’s probably just a teaser for a Super Bowl ad.

I guess it’s possible there will be a new Ferris Bueller movie, but I really can’t see it being so. Why would they tease it in this way? And if it had been shot already we’d know about it.

No. All this will be is Broderick reprising his role as Ferris Bueller for an ad of some kind. Which is fine. If they have thrown a budget at it and concocted a good story then that’ll do me.

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off 2 would be crap anyway. John Hughes is no longer with us, and Broderick is 50-years-old.

James Bond is cool, right? Suave, sophisticated, able to get any woman he desires. Maybe. Or perhaps he’s just a bit of an arsehole when all is said and done.

This video shows clips from the various James Bond movies down the years, with all the different actors who have portrayed the spy making an appearance.

But forget the visuals, this is all about the lyrics. James Bond is shown up for being an absolute douchebag, sleeping with women he doesn’t care about, killing lots of people, smashing up towns and villages, and generally being a prick.

I may watch future Bond movies with a different mindset after seeing this. Starting with Skyfall.

This is the official movie trailer for One For The Money, a new film starring Katherine Heigl as Stephanie Plum. Jason O’Mara, Daniel Sunjata, Nate Mooney also star in the flick based on the book of the same name.

One For The Money is a book by Janet Evanovich that was released in 1994. It’s taken a long time but it has finally been adapted for the big-screen.

The movie tells the story of Plum, a woman who takes a job with her cousin’s bail bond business rather than remain unemployed. She then tries to bring in a guy she formerly had a relationship of sorts with.

There have been 21 more novels starring the character since One For The Money, so if this film does well it’s highly likely there will be sequels in the offing.

Spike Lee is back directing, with new film Red Hook Summer having premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. This video shows On Native Ground interviewing the cast and crew behind Red Hook Summer on the red carpet.

Spike Lee is a legendary director responsible for great movies which are also important in the social commentary they provide. However, his recent flicks haven’t lived up to his usual standards.

A lot of people are saying Red Hook Summer is a return to form for Lee. But not everyone agrees. I’ve read some woeful reviews of the movie, which complain at the distinct lack of a cohesive storyline.

As usual with Spike Lee movies, Red Hook Summer won’t be for everyone. But those who like it will probably love it. Either way these interviews are great.

When I heard Rob Lowe was playing wife killer Drew Peterson in a Lifetime movie I was pretty bemused. I considered watching it for the comedy factor, but opted instead to wash my hair. Thankfully this video captures the very best (or should that be the very worst?) bits.

In this highlights reel we see more bad dialog and bad acting than we generally observe in less than two minutes. It’s strangely just what I expected from the movie, and then a little bit worse.

After sitting through this montage I don’t feel like I’ve missed out on very much. It’s also apparent to me that Rob Lowe should really stick to comedy, because the laughs here are golden!

Albert Nobbs would be just another stuffy period piece if not for Glenn Close’s amazing transformation from handsome middle aged actress to slightly creepy looking man. The film drags on, so this video lets you see the main attraction in less than two minutes.

The clip shows Glenn and the film’s makeup artists talking about their work on the movie, but the coolest part is the footage of that manly makeover. It’s blessedly sped up too so we needn’t be bored like Glenn by all the time spent in the makeup chair.

Perhaps the creators of White Chicks and Norbit should take note. This is how a cinematic sex change should look!

Red Tails is a new movie from George Lucas telling the story of the Tuskegee Airmen. You can watch the trailer for it here. Or you can watch the film HBO made of the same story in 1995.

It was simply named The Tuskegee Airmen, and this is the trailer for that version of history.

I’m not saying don’t go out to the movie theater and watch Red Tails. I’d like to see the film do well at the box office. However, there is another option as the George Lucas effort isn’t the first telling of the tale.

There are some differences between the two. Lucas has used special effects aplenty (as he always does) while HBO used archive footage of the planes and airmen fighting the war. I’d also say the acting is better in The Tuskegee Airmen, but that’s just me.

Hello, is it me you’re looking for? No, not really. What I’m really looking for is a cover version of this Lionel Ritchie classic. Result!

Hello is an awesome song. Simple yet effective, charming and sweet. Lionel Ritchie is a genius for having written and recorded it. But the video? Oh, the video. It sucks!

It’s a combination of creepy and funny, with bad acting and stalkerish behavior that will have most people wearing a permanent grin throughout.

Thankfully this video provides an alternative to the original. The song is made up of actors from famous films voicing lines or words from each verse and the chorus. And we get to see all the clips spliced together.

A great song made multiple times better.

This video shows the What The Flick? panel dissecting The Descendants, a movie directed by Alexander Payne and starring George Clooney. The latter won a Golden Globe for his performance.

The Descendants is the sort of movie I would have rejected outright just a few years ago. Where is the action? Where are the explosions? Where is the overlong car chase, the death-defying stunts, and the special effects?

As I’ve got older and my tastes have matured I find myself appreciating the storyline, the cinematography, and the acting performances much more than those aforementioned novelties.

The Descendants will be out on DVD and Blu-ray soon, and I personally feel that will be the best way of watching it. Only those films with all the above need to be watched at the cinema.

Rickey Gervais is probably the only reason why I watched (or kept watching) the Golden Globes last night.

So rather than sharing a re-cap of all the snobs who won, I’m going to post this compilation of every insult he made last night.

I, for one, was surprised to find out that he was still going to be the host after last year’s controversy. Maybe they did it for ratings, or maybe Hollywood is working on their sense of humor, either way, I thoroughly enjoyed Ricky’s very unique way of hosting.

The very last minute where he ends the show with a recession joke is classic! Lets hope they get him to host every year.
