I do love a good compilation video, particularly when the clips being compiled into one glorious whole show people being absolute idiots. And hopefully getting hurt as a result of their idiocy.

This video is a compilation of golf fails, with people swinging and missing, or killing birds with a well-placed shot, and having fun with golf carts.

This has taught me that golf carts are much more dangerous than I originally thought. They’re not exactly well-constructed, and are liable to break apart on even the mildest collision.

Most of the clips featured in this video have one thing in common: the people starring in them are fools. Why drive into a tree? Why race others when you should be playing golf? Why try and strike a ball from the edge of a swimming pool?

Each and every one of them is surely a future Darwin Award nominee.

Paddy Power is a genius. Or scum. It really depends what side of the fence you stand on in relation to the Irish bookmaker’s guerrilla marketing effort at the 2010 Ryder Cup golf tournament.

The 2010 Ryder Cup is currently taking place at the Celtic manor resort in Newport, Wales. The U.S.A. and Europe are battling to win the Ryder Cup, a golf tournament that usually throws up some surprises.

This year’s first surprise happened before the 2010 Ryder Cup had even teed off, with Paddy Power erecting a huge advertising hoarding in a field just outside the boundaries of Celtic Manor.

I guess it was meant to resemble the Hollywood Sign in Los Angeles. Which is kind of does. Paddy Power lost a court battle and has been told to take the sign down within three days, but as the Ryder Cup only lasts three days that’s hardly a major problem.

Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren have got divorced, as was expected after details of Woods’ affairs became public during late 2009.

Woods and Nordegren were married in 2004 and have had two children together since. Unfortunately, Woods also had several affairs, cheating on his wife with a number of women.

He got away with it for several years but once one of his conquests had spoken up, a number of others followed. The truth was then out, and it was only a matter of time before Nordegren decided to cut and run.

It’s rumored that Elin will be receiving more than 100 million dollars as part of the divorce settlement. Woods can obviously afford it but it makes Nordegren a very wealthy and eligible divorcée.

Still, Woods could have prevented his marriage imploding if he’d kept his dick in his pants. So he only has himself to blame. I wonder if he’ll make the same mistake(s) again in the future?

Hitting a gold ball into a hole is one thing, but try having to hit a small gong – in the middle of a lake.

I have to say that this is a very clever advertisement for the European Tour. “See all the impossible shots.” Very clever indeed.

I am wondering how long it really took them to actually make the shot, given the ‘magic’ of video editing. Did it only take that many turns, or were they there much longer?

Either way, that was an incredibly complicated shot mixed with a bit of luck, and I am very impressed that even one of them actually hit it.

Yani Tseng today became the youngest player ever to win three major golf championships. The 21-year-old Taiwanese player won the RICOH Women’s British Open held in Southport, England after leading throughout.

This video shows Tseng being interviewed after her impressive victory. She seems very normal, very down to earth, and very grounded despite the obvious success she’s enjoyed in her chosen career.

It’s a little strange when she gets asked to sing, and she hums something I recognize but can’t quite remember. Apparently she sings while on the course, which is what prompted the question.

Yani Tseng clearly has a big future in golf. The way she’s dominating the sport at this young age suggests she’s got the world at her feet. And good luck to her.

Watch this interview with golfer Erica Blasberg, who was found – according to reports – dead on Sunday.

It always sucks to see someone so young, not to mention so talented, die. At this time, she died of unknown causes, but you have to wonder with an athlete her age.

Erica was in her sixth season on the LPGA Tour, having turned professional in 2004 and joining the tour a year later. She was known to friends and family as a devoted, wonderful person.

To be certain, more details surrounding her death will be released in the coming days. There hasn’t been any speculation as to the cause yet.

Unbelievably, Nike chose not to drop Tiger Woods when the recent revelations over his extra-marital bedroom activities became public knowledge. In fact, it’s using it to sell sportswear!

You’ve likely already seen the original, which has Tiger’s dead father Earl talking to him. But this is one of the many spoofs now available on YouTube, the one I enjoyed watching the most.

It features a Tiger lookalike (if you squint a little) being told off by his father. You see, Earl didn’t really want his disembodied voice used on the commercial, and he also wants Tiger to stop looking like a constipated sex pest.

It amazes me why Nike and Tiger chose an advert that could so easily be spoofed. I guess it’s good for Nike, getting their name mentioned numerous times, but for Tiger? Not so much, because we’re all laughing at him.

Tiger Woods is making his return to golf at the 2010 U.S. Masters after taking a break from the sport following the revelations about his personal life – in essence, he was sleeping around behind his wife’s back… a lot.

The PGA has tried to shield Woods from any offensive jokes at his expense, but some have got through. Including this banner strung from the back of a light aircraft flying over the Augusta course.

The banner reads, “Tiger, did you mean Bootyism?” and is a reference to Buddhism, the religion he is alleged to practice.

Shortly after this plane had circled a few times, another one turned up, this time with a banner which read, “Sex Addict? Yeah. Right. Sure. Me Too.” Clearly mocking the whole idea that you can be addicted to sex, and that’s a valid excuse.

Seriously, what did Tiger expect to happen? I don’t think his personal life is really any of our business, but after it came out it’s open season on the guy really. And will likely be for a few more months to come. Until everyone gets bored and moves on to the next stupid celebrity.

At least that’s the essence of what Earl Woods asks his son, Tiger, in this new commercial for Nike. What makes this so intriguing is that Earl died in 2006, long before Tiger’s reputation took a battering.

I can’t quite believe Nike has stuck by Tiger, and decided to use the publicity surrounding his extra-marital affairs as the basis for a new commercial. But that’s exactly what has happened.

We get to see Tiger putting on his woeful, hangdog, “I’m really very sorry everyone” face while his dead father fires questions at him. Am I the only one who finds that just a little strange?

The fact is that Woods has no need to apologize to anyone but his wife. The public seems to think it owns celebrities these days, and therefore has some sort of right to feel aggrieved when they mess up. But we really don’t.

Tiger Woods, as I’m sure you know by now, has recently taken a break from golf to work on his other 18 holes.

In all seriousness, this leaked sex tape is actually quite boring; probably because Tiger treats sex just like a game of golf.

Sorry in advance for those looking for a real sex tape. Obviously this isn’t it, but this short is quite a good parody of all the serious issues surrounding Tiger Woods right now. Unlike this video portrays, however, I’m pretty sure Tiger is (at the very least) better than this in bed.

How else could he have gotten all those women to sleep with him? Being worth $1 billion probably has nothing to do with it.

You’re probably aware by now that Tiger Woods is having a little bit of trouble, both personally and professionally.

His wife has left him after reports of multiple affairs, and he’s decided to take a break from golf for an indefinite amount of time in order to get his life in order. Unfortunately, meanwhile his sponsors are all cutting him loose.

What Woods needs is a new sponsor – one more fitting to personality and way of life. And the BastardCard would seem to be a good fit.

This spoof advert for BastardCard is genius as it looks and sounds real, and the voiceover is pitched just right. Also, everything stated in the ad is very close to reality.

Tiger Woods isn’t just a golfer- he’s the very best. In fact, because of his new announcement to take a break from the sport to focus on his family, many PGA Tour sponsors are upset.

Still, there are many (including the PGA Tour itself) who support his decision. Sports editor Dave Zirin does his best to break down how this will affect the sport of golf for the next year.

Tiger Woods, if you didn’t already know, is the first billion-dollar athlete. His brand can be seen everywhere from Dubai to South East Asia. So by tainting his image, not only has he potentially lost his wife, but also a lot of money.

Many fans say that they’ll still watch Tiger play if he decides to come back, but it’s safe to say that the Tiger Woods brand is no longer what it used to be.

Thankfully for him, the latest name to add to the list seems to have been a pre-marital conquest. Although I think it may now be too late for Woods to get his marriage to Elin Nordegren back on track anyway.

This is a rather strange conquest to add to Tiger Woods’ list of shame. Holly Sampson is a porn star who clearly enjoys sex and doesn’t mind showing off her body. But it’s the way she revealed she’d had sex with Tiger which is peculiar.

She made the revelation during a live sex chat back in May, months before Tiger’s infidelity became a topic of conversation. She slept with him at a bachelor party, which suggests this was before he got hitched.

Sampson also claims to have slept with Kevin Costner and Stephen Dorff. And I bet she’s kicking herself for revealing these things in a Web chat rather than saving them until now and getting a huge payout from the newspapers.

It’s fair to say Tiger Woods hasn’t had a very good week. First there were allegations of extra-marital activity, then he had a car crash under strange circumstances, and now this.

The video shows the audio recording of a voicemail message Woods allegedly left on the phone of Jaimee Grubbs, one of a few women alleged to have had affairs with Tiger. It may not be irrefutable evidence but it’s strong enough.

I don’t think anyone in this story is coming out of it particularly well. Tiger Woods is alleged to have cheated on his wife Elin Nordegren, and Jaimee Grubbs is alleging she slept with him and has sold her story. Which is always a sucky thing to do.

Tiger Woods has now commented on these “transgressions” on his official Web site. However, he fails to mention which stories he’s commenting on except for the car crash. Furthermore, he’s admitting nothing.

I think it may be time for him to come clean, try to save his marriage, and then put it all behind him. This PR nonsense of avoiding the issue isn’t convincing anyone.

This video purportedly shows a hole-in-one by Vijay Singh during the 2009 Masters. Except is it? Really? I can’t get the idea out of my head that it’s fake. I mean, come on!

Singh hits the ball, it heads straight for the water, where it bounces three or four times before hitting the bank and rolling up onto the green. Then it does a 90 degree spin into the hole.

I’d love to believe this actually happened but I don’t. It would have had to be a huge mis-hit for the ball to hit the water so quickly, and then an absolute miracle for the rest of it to happen as it supposedly did.

Another telltale sign this is fake is the camera panning down at the crucial moment. Why would that happen unless it was intended to cover up a sly piece of camera trickery?

Tiger Woods is rightly regarded as one of, if not the, best golfers in the world. Not just now, but that has ever played the game. There’s just one problem – the man clearly needs anger management lessons.

There have been quite a few clips of Woods swearing or hitting the fairway with his club after a bad shot or round. But this time Tiger went a little further, actually throwing his club away while playing the Barclays Tournament.

I suppose it’s his right to do this – it’s his club after all – but there are a couple of reasons why this is really bad. First of all he could have hit someone in the crowd, and secondly, what sort of example does this set for kids?

The true test of a great sportsman is how they perform under pressure when things aren’t going so well. And it seems as though Woods isn’t at his best during these difficult times. Which is a shame because it’s probably his one flaw.

Many fans are saying that Tiger wasn’t the one who farted in this clip taken from the Buick Open last Sunday. However, by simply taking a closer look at the footage, it becomes very obvious that Tiger was indeed the man behind the gas.

That’s the exact same position every man gets into before farting standing up.

With the wide availability of video and sound editing technology, I could see why some loyal fans would dismiss this gaseous incident as a hoax. If that’s the case, one has to wonder why every video of the fart keeps getting taken down by copyright claims on YouTube. My guess is that they really do have something to hide.

The 2007 Fart

If you’re still not convinced that the 2009 video is real, I urge you to take a look at this video of a previous Tiger Woods fart clip that occurred at an event 3 years ago. The guilty laughs that he makes are identical!

Why are farts so funny? All they are is someone’s bowel expelling excess gas from inside the body. Is that really the hilarious occurrence we all make it out to be? Actually, yes it is, especially when it’s Tiger Woods doing the deed.

Well, at least on first appearances it looks like Tiger Woods farting but it probably isn’t in reality. The incident occurred on the fairway of the 18th hole at the Buick Open. The camera is behind Tiger and his caddy as he eyes up a shot.

Tiger is stretching his legs when he appears to fart long and loud. He then laughs about it with his caddy, completely unashamed at having farted on microphone. However, it probably wasn’t him.

He looks to his right, probably trying to find the culprit. Witnesses at the scene suggest it was a spectator, probably using one of those fart machines which sound very authentic.

But at the end of the day it doesn’t really even matter, because it’s funny regardless of who did it.

Swedish golfer Henrik Stenson took the spotlight away from Tiger Woods in Florida for the Players Championship by playing a suppurate last round that brought him the championship – and over a million dollars to go with it.

While Stenson isn’t well known in the United States, he is known elsewhere and has proven to be a worthy competitor to Tiger Woods’ fame.

With a warm up move that has people talking (taking a swing with the golf club upside down), he has definitely made an impression.

Heck, he could lick the club for all I care if that is what it takes for him to win championships.
