So it seems that the Chinese have actually taken knockoffs to a whole new level with this bootleg Disneyland. Some even say that it’s better than the original.

You’ll probably enjoy it when the owner of the park is interviewed and claims that all the the Mickey Mouse imitation is “a cat with big ears.”

I really don’t blame the Chinese for doing this. I mean, who can’t help but want to go to Disneyland when you make Disney-related merchandise in a factory all damn day? For those thinking about the Hong Kong Disneyland, that one actually recently opened whereas this one has been open since 1986.

It’s important to remember that most of the Disney characters are based off of Grimm’s Fairy Tales from 1812- so technically Disney stole most of the characters from the Brothers Grimm. The only problem, of course, is that they aren’t alive to sue Disney.

Well it’s officially the 15th of April, which means that the Coachella Music Festival is off to a start.

Normally, this wouldn’t be such a big deal to me because I can’t skip school and travel and can’t afford a ticket, but this time anyone who can hop on YouTube can see some of the bands live via webcast.

Since this is the first time there will be live streams of performances, no one really knows how reliable the schedule is- but I’m willing to bet that most of the acts you want to see will be available including:

This video shows a six-year-old girl being patted down by a TSA officer. And it’s a little uncomfortable to watch, if I’m honest.

Airport security has been ramped up of late, especially in the U.S. But many people dislike some of the methods being employed.

I personally feel the full-body scanners are fine. The fears over radiation exposure are mostly unfounded unless you’re flying every single week of the year. And pat-downs on adults? They’re fine, especially if they keep us all safe in the air.

However, patting down a six-year-old seems extreme. Was she exhibiting signs of being a terrorist with an intent to carry a bomb onto the plane? I doubt it, somehow.

The TSA lady was just doing her job, and doesn’t deserve criticism. She does everything by the book and in a way to limit the trauma for the little girl. But that doesn’t mean the policy is a good one.

With a rich history with an amazing mix of cultures, Mauritius is much more than a paradise honeymoon spot.

Okay, so if you are like me and didn’t get a lot of geography lessons in school, then you will be interested to know that Mauritius is an island to the east of Madagascar. (Which is east of Africa, in case your lessons were really bad.)

Hopefully, this starts a whole series of other flight attendants breaking out their musical abilities when spouting safety info. I’d love to see some friendly competition between airlines.

I don’t know about the other homes featured in this “World’s Greenest Homes” special, but Gary Chang deserves to be at the top of the list simply for all of the trouble he went through to have this home. Not only did he enroll in school to become an architect, but he must have spent a fortune on the revisions.

As a college student living in a small room myself, I often daydream of a bigger place to live. Knowing that innovative architecture like this exists gives mes hope for the future.

China’s military has been going though a “modernization” lately with new air crafts popping up every few months. When the new J-20 Stealth Fighter was unveiled this week, it was done while the U.S. Secretary of Defense, Robert Gates was visiting the country.

The Chinese President claims that the visit was purely coincidental, even though many are speculating a conspiracy.

Last summer, there were news stations complaining that Chinese manufacturers were making jet fighter knock-offs. It seems that now, rather than copying an existing design, there are some original planes now on the market.

It might be years before the Chinese military ever uses planes like the American F-22, but right now it seems like they are closer than ever to catching up.

I was never one for getting up early, but these shots showing such life in the early morning hours have me changing my mind…

When you don’t get up early, it’s easy to assume everyone else is just sleeping or to not care.

But this video shows plenty of people up and about pre-dawn as well as many wonderful sunrises. This is a beautiful experience of a video.

Something one comment mentioned that I would like to echo here is being glad for no music. The sounds of the morning are just as important as the visuals, and it’s wonderful to hear them.

I don’t think it is going out on a limb to say that working at Google could very well be the best job anyone could ever have.

I found it interesting that they called it the Google campus because that is what it reminds me of – a very rich university.

That’s not to say I wouldn’t mind working there. Who wouldn’t? Everything there, beautiful place to work and live, plenty of options…

I am just wondering if any other big companies out there will take off on this model.

For some reason we don’t cope with extreme weather conditions very well in the U.K. In particular, snow sees the country grind to a halt.

This video shows a speeded-up video of the queue for the Eurostar service at St. Pancras station in London. This is the train which ferries passengers between London and Paris.

This is one loooooooooooong queue. In fact, it seems to go on forever. Apparently it took nine minutes to walk the length of it, and yet people were still joining the end of the queue hopeful of traveling.

I think I’d have given up, gone home, and celebrated Christmas on my own rather than queue for this long. Especially as there was no guarantee of actually traveling at the end of it. Madness.

Conan is back on TV in more ways than one. Here he can be seen in a very elaborate American Express commercial shot in India.

I highly recommend switching to the HD option if your computer can handle it- there are some breathtaking shots in here.

While most American tourists that go to India don’t embrace the culture fully, Conan is a bit of an over-achiever. The fact that he took the time to learn Hindi lines is really remarkable.

The funniest part of the commercial has to be when he’s crushing up the berries and jumping up and down like a mad man. Conan may have been off the air for a year but he’s still got it!

Melbourne is a fascinating city that I absolutely adore. Learn about everything in thirty seconds. (Yep, we call it ‘the lean-y thing.)

Someone needs to give this parent an award for even dreaming this idea up. Not only is it very pretty footage, but it’s cost-effective. A video like this really makes me wonder what NASA is doing with all of their money.

Every year Americans consume about 10.5 million tons of plastic and only recycle about 1-2% of it. Since the typical milk jug takes about 1 million years to decompose, nearly every single piece of plastic that was ever made still exists today…

Unless, of course, you’re talking about the ones that have been converted into oil with this machine.

Yesterday’s science fiction has officially become today’s reality. This Japanese invention could really change the world if it’s technology was used properly.

For those wondering if the machine “takes up too much energy” I have a very practical solution- simply use the oil that the it generates to power it! Hopefully the Japanese government will have the sense to fund this invention.

I really haven’t done much traveling in my life. Too many commitments, too little money. And it’s a real shame because there are so many trips I’d like to make.

One of these is a road trip across America, which is almost exactly what the guy in this video does. Except rather than driving, he walks. Kind of.

he obviously doesn’t walk the entire way as that would be utter madness and take forever. So instead what he does (no doubt aided and abetted by a few friends) is take around 2,700 snapshots along the way, which have then been compiled into this stop-motion video.

This video makes me realize a couple of things: how dull my life is right now, stuck in the same place and not even having holidays; that America is not only vast but pretty empty between cities.

This re-enactment of ‘Pirates of The Caribbean’ may be done by 7 year-old Japanese children, but it’s amazing nevertheless. Even Johnny Depp is blown away!

Just when you thought a kid who could play the Pirates theme song was amazing, a bunch of pirates emerge behind the piano and start flinging swords. Their movements are so coordinated that it’s hard to believe they only had 2-weeks of rehearsal.

The cutest part has to be the moment after they finish and start saying their names. It’s almost as if they’re real-life anime characters!

You always hear about military soldiers using excessive force, but actually seeing with your eyes is pretty shocking. Not to mention when the “crime” the Iraqis in this video committed was stealing wood.

That’s right, as in fire wood.

The last time I checked, there wasn’t a law you could break in America that would get your car shot up and smashed by a tank, but that’s exactly what happens in this video from Iraq. The saddest part has to be when we find out that the car actually belonged to a Taxi driver.

The phrase “that’s what you get!” has never been portrayed so ignorantly. I hope these soldiers have gotten reported and suspended since this incident.

Dolphins are not only beautiful and playful but intelligent as well. I can’t imagine a much more enjoyable afternoon than getting to know some of these lovely creatures.

Of course, I won’t fly all the way to the United States to do so, but if you can get down, over or up to Orlando Florida, I’m sure it will be a day you won’t forget.

This sinkhole in Guatemala looks like a scene out of a disaster movie. Not only is it circular, but it managed to swallow up a building with at least one man inside of it within seconds.

From the satellite view, it looks very similar to a 200ft deep crater. Conspiracy nuts eat your heart out!

Tropical Storm Agatha has killed over 100 people in Central America and left thousands of homes damaged. This, obviously, is probably the worst of the damage. I can’t imagine how the government is going to fix this over there.
