Felicia Day – known for The Guild and other web awesomeness – is striking out with a new webseries Dragon Age II: Redepmtion that starts March 8th.

Okay, so you have to love a trailer that tells you absolutely nothing about what the series will be about…

…but that’s okay. Felicia Day has point ears and there are dragons. I think we have at least an idea of where things are going.

In the series announcement, Felicia said that she will be plahing Tallis, an Elven assassin who must enlist the aid of some capable adventure-seekers in her hunt for a renegade mage.

Sounds good to me. Sign me up.

Guys, lets face it. Getting a hot girl’s phone number can be one of the trickiest obstacles to overcome on a night out. ‘Digits’ is a show that knows this and even aims to help you “get some digits.”

Even if you don’t find the info useful there’s plenty of eye candy and awkward moments to laugh at.

Each episode of Digits focuses on a new exercise that guys can practice when they’re out. While some are harder than others, most of them are designed to be purposely uncomfortable. One episode, for example, features a guy getting rejected 30 times!

The thing I love about this show is that it captures really awkward situations and some unbelievably creative scenarios on hidden camera. I can’t help but cheer for the guy when he actually gets some digits, however, having been a victim of the “fake phone number” myself, I wonder how many of them are real.

‘Digits’ Preview

This is a compilation of season one where an italian model was sent to try and pick up girls digits. It should be noted that the new season features more guys with different personalities- not everyone is as forward as this guy.

Being part Indian myself, I find it shameful when Bollywood rips-off American films and turns them into embarrassing musicals.

This trailer for the indian “Halo” had me furious at first, but then I came to find out that it was actually IGN’s April Fools joke. Phew!

Last year it was the fan-made Zelda movie trailer, but it was so well-produced that many speculated an actual production would happen; these fake trailers just keep getting better and better!

Had this trailer surfaced without IGN’s name on it, in full Hindi, and in blurry quality, I’m sure I would have been fooled completely. The music and dancing is on par with a lot of real Bollywood trailers.

Drunk History is a FunnyOrDie web series that has only recently come to my attention now that it airs on Fridays on HBO.

The concept of the show is pretty simple: get a celebrity drunk and then get them to tell a historical event.

With ridiculous costumes and guests like Jack Black and Michael Cera, ‘Drunk History’ is already a formula for success. After all, who isn’t funny when their drunk?

What keeps the show interesting is the fact that the historical events that are discussed are actually pretty amusing themselves. Exposing Thomas Edison as an “asshole” isn’t exactly something most people learn in school.

In this episode that features Nikola Tesla, the truth about Thomas Edison’s real personality is revealed. You can catch the new season of Drunk History on HBO on Fridays.

CraveOnline’s new web series Fanboy Funhouse is sure to satisfy the inner-geek in all of us. Every two-weeks the show focuses on the latest in movies, comics, gaming, and gadgets.

Oh, and did I mention there’s a crazy puppets involved?

With puppets and characters like Nar, Dugnot, Saug, and Lobie, Fanboy Funhouse reminds me a lot of kid’s shows when I was younger. Except, of course, the show is marketed to techies in their 20’s.

The parody shorts are pretty funny to watch, however, my only complaint is that the show doesn’t seem to have much official content (eg. a clip from a movie or in-gameplay). Hopefully the future episodes will live up to expectations.

Episode 1

In this first episode the cast explores the possibilty of being a Na’vi from the blockbuster Avatar in everyday life.

If you’re a fan of concept cars then Scion’s new show Reinvent The Wheels may become your latest vice.

The concept is simple: 3 different car designers team up with professional garages to make the most creative car. At the end, the winner takes home $30,000.

With prize money in the tens of thousands, right-off-the-bat you know this show will be a step above most web series; the budget is big enough to afford a host and 3 judges. In fact, I could easily picture this show on cable if the episodes weren’t 7 minutes long.

As of yet, only the first of all 6 episodes have been released. Scion’s aren’t usually known for being muscle cars, but the designs look promising. It’s bound to be exciting when the Pimp My Ride aspect of the show kicks in.

Episode 1

This is the first episode which premiered last night. Like most reality shows, it’s the personality of the cast that makes it interesting.

The Hungry Beast is somewhat of a bastard child of all the regular news on TV in Australia. Every week, the show re-examines the latest stories and usually addresses some details that the major media ignores.

You don’t have to be Australian to find their segments thought-provoking.

Filler news like man-on-the-street interviews and depressing “new statistics” flood most news networks daily. The most interesting stories are only found in hindsight- which is why The Hungry Beast succeeds with it’s niche audience.

Gullible Media

This is the “prank” that made The Hungry Beast popular. Just to see if major news networks actually checked their sources, they formed an elaborate hoax and spread a press-release with nonsense claims. $300 and a few days later, they actually fooled nearly every major station.

The Videomakers is a mockumentary web series that goes behind the scenes of a fictional reality TV production company called “Lowball Productions.”

The show’s concept is great- it’s about damn time somebody made a series about how exploitative reality TV shows are. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for other aspects of the show.

Looking at the trailer, The Videomakers actually seems half-way decent. The directing and editing are professional and the one-liners are worth a laugh or two. After watching a few of the episodes, however, it became clear to me that the writing and acting were enough to throw off the balance of the show.

The biggest flaw of the show are the actors; it’s as if the characters are reading lines from a joke book. Even the situations they find themselves in would be more funny as stories you heard at a party. It’s no surprise that the show hasn’t broke 50 subscribers on YouTube yet.

Episode 1

This is the first episode of the show where Lowbrow Productions is filming a horrendous pilot. A bit ironic if you ask me.

Ranked #58 of the most subscribed comedians on YouTube, The Annoying Orange is the series about the everyday life of a very aggravating citrus.

Complete with weird teeth, big eyes, no nose and squeaky voice, this comedy will have you laughing like a kid again.

Most episodes tend to get repetitious, beginning with an interrogation of an unsuspecting guest and ending in the same violent massacre of fresh produce. Childish, sure, but the concept almost never gets old. Check it out for yourself. New episodes premiere every Friday.

Wazzup! Episode

This is perhaps the most famous Annoying Orange webisode. If you don’t like this one, chances are you won’t like the rest.

‘Very Mary-Kate’ parodies the bizarre life of Mary-Kate Olsen and the crazy antics she gets into after moving away from her sister.

Not the real Mary-Kate Olsen of course, but that really doesn’t matter when you’re laughing at how immature she acts.

Creator and star Elaine Carroll, who can also be seen in the “The CollegeHumor Show,” hurls out a new episode of Very Mary-Kate every Monday. After sitting through the entire series in a matter of 10 mins, I can honestly say that 7 of them were particularly enjoyable.

If you’ve ever seen an Olsen Twin’s movie while growing up and know the mannerisms of the twins, you’ll find this one pretty entertaining.

ROFL, which was formerly known as Rooftop Comedy, was picked up by Rivision3 recently and given a bigger budget. As a result, the show now features more widely known acts like Chris Porter and Roy Wood Jr. who’ve frequented Comedy Central numerous times.

In fact, a typical 10 minute episode runs a bit like an uncensored version of Premium Blend. The only things missing are a live band and a host, but who really needs those anyways?
