Celeste Holm was the original Ado Annie in Oklahoma!, starring in the 1943 Broadway production that marked the first musical written by Rodgers and Hammerstein.
Holm has now sadly passed away at the age of 95. After Oklahoma! she went to Hollywood where she starred in many films, winning an Oscar in 1947 and being nominated on other occasions.
In all Holm enjoyed a career spanning more than 50 years, and she also enjoyed a busy personal life away from the limelight, marrying five times and having two children.
