I love this animation! I had it as a child and watched it constantly on vhs. Its taken me years to find out the name of it as my mum couldnt remember it. Im so glad that I get to share this with my neices and nephews

This wasn’t a tradition in my family but one day this story brought out a few tears, now I’m a father and for a long time I’ve been looking for it so my kids now can see it.

I used to love listening to (I think) Burl Ives’ version of this on a record when I was a child. I still love it and wish I could find the original.
