The Toy Story movie series is a stroke of genius, and is immensely popular as a result. It has also influenced other filmmakers, as this video shows.
This is an animated short titled Brat. It was produced by a student at Vancouver Film School, and then uploaded to YouTube, obviously. And it’s pretty damn good.
Brat tells the story of a cute little girl who is actually a bit of a brat, doing some wicked things to her cuddly toy. Thankfully he isn’t any old cuddly toy, and turns the tables.
I hope whoever made this ended up getting a job doing animation. Not only is the storyline clever, the facial expressions and mannerisms are spot-on.
