There are two things I’m guaranteed to think while watching any video featuring amateur animation: How cool is that? I wouldn’t have the patience to do anything similar.
This video featuring candles is no exception.
The set up for this quite easy: lines of tealight candles arranged on the floor with a camera in its tripod looking down on them. But that is, very much so, the easy part.
Then the animation begins, and this is where I try and forget the work that’s required to bring something like this to life, preferring instead to just focus on how cool it all looks.
Can you imagine how long it took to light, extinguish, and then relight the appropriate candles to get this looking good? It’s too much like hard work for me.
