As social media grows, many people feel we’re ironically losing real connections and an old-fashioned sense of community. That concept is challenged in the Zach Galifianakis produced documentary Craigslist Joe.

In his search for connection, our hero Joe endeavors to live entirely from the kindness of Craigslist users for one year. It’s an interesting social experiment, or perhaps a genius way to legitimize mooching. But does it make for a good film?

The trailer gives us enough hope that it might be. It seems inspirational, and filled with quirky kind-hearted characters.

We’ll find out for sure when Craigslist Joe hits cinemas on August 2.
