Have you ever seen a commercial that made absolutely no sense, but you couldn’t get it out of your head? This advertisement for Vern Fonk Insurance had that effect on me. But any commercial with the word “shipoopi” in it is noteworthy in my book.
I haven’t quite figured out how this is supposed to sell insurance. I suppose the male customers might drop by the office to try to get a glimpse of those “beauties”. I don’t get what’s in it for the ladies, though, except that maybe they get to sample that dessert that’s on the bald guy’s head.
Yes, this is one strange commercial. But it accomplishes one thing that all good (and not so good) commercials should strive for: It’s memorable.
