This video brings two questions to mind: What is it with cats and boxes that makes them feel the need to get in and explore? What the hell do the Japanese feed their cats? They’re enormous.
Being a cat lover and owner of a ginger pussy named Hendrix, I love a good cute cat video as much as anybody. This is one of the best I’ve seen in a while because it features a cat I’m convinced was a trampoline artist in a former life.
The owner leaves a large box in the middle of the room and films the result. Which is their cat feeling the need to jump in and out of the box continuously as if it’s a vast network of caverns just waiting to be explored.
Bizarrely, every video I’ve seen featuring a Japanese cat tells me that their owners feed them too much, they’re always on the large side. Maybe it’s because the cats are never allowed outside to exercise. Which would also explain why the fascination with the box. Both questions answered in one.
