I have very fond memories of Donkey Kong Country on the Super Nintendo. So Donkey Kong Country Returns on the Wii is a must-buy for me. And IGN agrees.
This is the IGN video review of Donkey Kong Country Returns on the Nintendo Wii, which is a remake/re-imagining of the Rare games which originally appeared on the SNES.
The graphics may be 2D but they’re gorgeous. Maybe not as gorgeous as Kirby’s Epic Yarn (another genius 2D platformer on the Wii) but gorgeous nonetheless.
However, Donkey Kong Country Returns isn’t about the visuals. Instead, it’s all about the gameplay. And it’s this element of the game that makes me want to buy and play it immediately.
