Today the critically-acclaimed mashup DJ Girl Talk released his much anticipated second album titled “All Day” for free. You can find the link to download it below.
Just in case you have no idea who this guy is, here’s a mash-up music video to his song “Play your Part (Pt.1) from his 2006 album Feed The Animals. This particular track samples about 20 songs from Rage Against The Machine to Pete Townshend to Jay-Z.
it only makes legal sense that Girl Talk would release his new album for free online. After all, he didn’t actually create any of the songs he samples. The label that he is signed to “Illegal Art” battled legal trouble in the early 90’s when trying to stand against copyright laws.
Still, you can’t deny the fact that this kind of hard work (2.5 years to be exact) deserves to be rewarded. If you ask me putting a price on music is an old-fashioned business model that needs to be eradicated.
