Animated shows mirror real-life, so they tend to have a habit of either predicting things yet to happen or including scenes which make even more sense later on.
This is one such clip from Family Guy, with Joe Swanson lecturing Sheriff Nichols about how he shouldn’t abuse his powers as a cop. Which is extremely relevant right now.
This is from an episode called “Sheriff Nichols”, which shows the titular cop planting evidence on Peter and his friends in order to send them to jail.
Thankfully, they escape back to Quahog, and have the local police waiting for them. Which is when Joe delivers his speech about not abusing the badge.
