When you think of real-time strategy games, titles such as Command & Conquer, Starcraft, and Age of Empires probably come to mind. These are serious, geeky games which require bags of total concentration.
Now, a new RTS game is coming out, and this one’s slightly less serious and geeky. It’s called Fat Princess and it basically involves you rescuing your princess from the opposition’s castle. They are obviously trying to do the same thing in reverse.
Fat Princess supports up to 32 players at any one time, 16 on each team. Rather than controlling every player, you take on the role of just one cog in extremely big wheel. Whether that wheel is efficient is up to you and your teammates.
The game is a PS3 exclusive, being released as a download on the Playstation Network (PSN) on Friday, July 30. The title was enough to intrigue me but having seen the game in Technicolor I’m definitely going to buy it.
