This is the launch commercial for the new Foster’s Gold lager, a premium 4.8% beer which looks like it’ll go down nicely on a hot day, especially if it’s been chilled for a few hours prior to drinking.
The ad features the usual two characters of Brad and Dan, a couple of normal Australian guys willing to dole out advice to anyone who wants it. And to those who don’t want it either.
This new ad takes them out of their comfort zone and places them at an exclusive party where they bump into Holly Valance, Aussie singer and one-time soap star who had a big hit with Kiss Kiss.
Does this make me want to buy some Foster’s Gold? A little. But it makes me want to meet Holly Valance a lot more. Even if she doesn’t repay favors in the way Brad and Dan were hoping she would.
