Everybody has biases, no matter how much they try to be open and fair-minded. It’s human nature, and anyone who doesn’t see that isn’t living in the real world.
To test these biases, one YouTuber sent a group of black men dressed in thug life clothing into the suburbs. They knocked on doors to see what reaction they would get.
Suffice to say, people weren’t particularly welcoming. Race may have played a part in it, but it’s more likely to have been because they were in a group and didn’t look particularly welcoming.
The twist was that they were actually carol singers there to entertain the householders with a few songs. And they sang beautifully.
