Celebrated actor and motion-capture artist Andy Serkis recently appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Serkis was there to promote his new movie, War for the Planet of the Apes, but after chatting about that for a while, Colbert asked him to summon up Gollum. Which he did rather brilliantly.
Serkis then proceeded to read out a few of Donald Trump’s terrible tweets as Gollum, all while perched on the edge of his chair.
I get the feeling Serkis doesn’t actually like being asked to do Gollum these days, but it’s what people more remember him for, so he probably feels obliged to deliver.
