Tupac Shakur has started a trend, despite having been dead for a long time. Even John Mayer is getting on board the hologram bandwagon.
In this CollegeHumor original video, John Mayer is seen coming to the realization he cannot go out on tour. His manager has a solution: a holographic version of Mayer just like the one of Tupac that lit up the stage at Coachella.
OK, perhaps Mayer’s isn’t as good as Tupac’s. He can’t really sing but he does do a good impersonation of the intros to streaming services. And he looks good naked too.
The funniest thing about this sketch is the fact it’ll likely be shown to have some truth about it in the years to come. I fully expect at least one artist to send a holographic version of themselves out on tour within a year. It probably won’t be Mayer though.
