Little Drummer Boy as sung by David Bowie and Bing Crosby is one of my favorite Christmas songs. It’s on a playlist alongside The Waitresses, Elton John, and Band Aid.
However, it turns out the slightly awkward music video for Little Drummer Boy is immeasurably improved if you remove the music from the equation.
With the music removed, we get to see just how awkwardly these two musical giants interact with each other. There is tension oozing from every pore.
This duet was a strange one anyway, and now, with the music excised from the whole thing, the music video stands as a surreal insight into Christmases of yore.
