While most people who play blackjack at a casino bet chips, this man instead placed a bag of weed on the table.
I don’t know whether to thank this guy for doing the ultimate pro-weed protest, or to slap him for being such an idiot.
Marijuana has often been mislabeled by the media as an “evil” drug and this news clip is no exception. Even though he didn’t hurt anyone, cheat, or steal from the casino, the news anchors automatically label him as a “bad guy” and group him with the other “gang impact” statistics.
I’m not saying what he did was right, I’m just asking the question: “Does he really deserve to be in handcuffs for this?” They could have easily confiscated his weed, fined him, set up a court date, and sent him on his way. No doubt the casino this took place in has seen far worse crimes.
This also brings up another important question: “Do they bet with weed in Amsterdam?”
