Paul Rudd has a running joke going on with Conan O’Brien. Every time he appears on the show he’s meant to show a clip from whatever movie he’s there to promote. Instead, he shows a funny clip from an old film.
And now the joke is spreading, with Paralympian Alana Nichols getting in on the act.
Conan clearly doesn’t expect it, and he makes it very clear that this was a prank played on him and not the other way around. After all, it wouldn’t be very politically correct to air that clip when the guest is someone in a wheelchair.
I really hope other people take this gag and run with it now. Perhaps a guest on Letterman or The Daily Show can pull it out of the hat.
