Christmas may still be a couple of days away, but you could spend the rest of today (December 23rd) celebrating Festivus. Which is, after all, for the rest of us.

Festivus is a made-up holiday which appeared to originate on Seinfeld. However Festivus was actually created by the father of Dan O’Keefe, one of the writers on the show.

This video recounts the story of Festivus. The main elements being an undecorated aluminum pole, the airing of grievances, and feats of strength.

Since the show ended, Festivus has become a thing in its own right. So much so that people actually celebrate this made-up holiday for real. And now you can join them!
