The Gears Of War games are massively popular, almost on a par with the likes of Halo and Modern Warfare. And the third, and supposedly final, game in the series, Gears Of War 3, has now been officially unveiled.
Eager gamers need not worry about missing out though, as Gears Of War 3 isn’t due to be released until April 2011, a whole year away from now. But the first trailer, as seen above, sure raises the anticipation levels.
The first Gears Of War game was released in 2006, and immediately grabbed a fan base with its third-person shooting action. Gears Of War 2, even better than the first, then followed in 2008. And Gears 3, in 2011, will complete the trilogy.
This trailer shows Marcus Fenix and the other members of Delta Squad fighting the Lambent, a mutating enemy with kick ass tentacles. There’s also a new female solder revealed, a pen pusher turned badass by the name of Anya.
