One of the most satisfying things I've seen in a long time. A drop in the bucket relative to the comeuppance the Bush Administration needs and deserves, but restorative as only human interface can be. We can all relate.
How so many Americans can remain ignorant or even supportive of the damage done by the outgoing cabal is beyond me.I'm a patriot who strongly objects to my Government rescinding measures designed to protect the Environment, endorsing the torture of other human beings, and repeatedly lying to the World - including the American citizenry that entrusted them to honorably lead them - about even the most grave issues. And that's not the half of it. Shame on them.
. As a Superpower, the United States has the premier responsibility for acting with integrity, humility, and dignity. Instead, we have suffered through eight years of having our international reputation shredded by the equivalent of a bunch of teen-aged punks who decide for all of us what the 'Truth' is and ge daily about their business of making sure that they get theirs before anyone else does. To hell with future generations!
Those foreign leaders not offering their hands to George Bush? They probably agreed that such a passive resistance was more courteous than the middle finger with which he and his cronies flipped-off the World for the better part of a decade.
He got off easy. Maybe the personal approach, the little gesture, will be more effective in stirring this Christian to apologize than have the media headlines public naming of whatever has been the latest disastrous result of the Bush Administration's cynical and greedy policies.
As far as shaking President Obama's hand? They may well give him a big hug and a laurel wreath instead. Ding-Dong, the Bush Gang is dead! Mission Accomplished, indeed.
