This video is a compilation of Go Kart crashes and it makes me realise Karting isn’t just that pretend little motorsport that kids and men on stag do’s take part in.
In fact judging by the painful collisions of some of the crashes, and the arguments which then take place between the drivers involved, it seems the sport is taken quite seriously.
When you think that a lot of Formula 1 drivers start off in Karting, you realise why so many young drivers make it so competitively, it’s a chance to impress people so much with your driving skills, they’ll one day employ you to be the best in the world.
Ayrton Senna, Michael Schumacher and Britain’s great young hope Lewis Hamilton all began their careers in Go Karting, so it is possible to reach the top.
Judging by the bad driving on display here though, and careless examples of bad temperament, I don’t think any of these drivers will be following in their illustrious footsteps.
