Google’s Android Mobile Operating System Video Demonstration On YouTube

Google announced the launch of their new Android last week. It turned out to be an open source operating system for mobile phones, and not the Gphone which was rumoured for months.

So instead of an iPhone killer from Google, we actually ended up with a boring operating system, which isn’t quite as exciting, but still kind of cool technology, especially as its open source like Linux.

This video is a demonstration that Google’s Sergey Brin and Steve Horowitz posted on YouTube to cut through the myth and speculation, and just show us all what the thing can actually do.

The guys behind the product take us through a few of the applications on Android, including the web browser, maps, text messaging, and the video game Quake.
